El Arenal: Mallorca's WORST area at 3pm on Sunday?

Hiya.. now getting back from there august 27 2024, it certainly not as crowded like that, busy yes but on the beach, so different from the time in the video so it’s worth a visit

In the late 90s, I was always on Mallorca as a kid with my family. We only went to El Arenal during the day. Maybe one time. I thought it was ok but I know people who don't want to visit Mallorca because it has a party reputation but it is actually a dumb argument because it's like saying that you don't wanna visit the USA because of Las Vegas. Mallorca has so many beautiful and quiet spots. Why would you avoid all of that just because of one bad beach? And from the video it doesn't even look that full. So you can leave anytime in case you feel annoyed by the alcohol-humans. I love your video stabilization.

We have just got back from a 12 day holiday and it was absolutely unbelievable, the video does not do it justice it was much worse, the hotel we stayed in did nothing to discourage the actions of these people would not recommend it to anyone😢

Very good video. Disgusting people. I was there in 2010 and it was the worst vacation of my entire life to the point that I never went back. Alcoholics who drink buckets of vodka in the morning, in the evening they vomited in the hotel, threw toilet paper on the trees and shouted so much that it was impossible to spend a quiet night. They do there what they wouldn't do in Munich Germany. In Germany when crossing a red light, we have a fine. These people do not represent the German spirit which is supposed to be respectful of the rules. They are the pure definition of arrogance and debauchery. Poor Spaniards forced to undergo this colonization.

We stayed in Playa De Palma maybe four years ago in April. Still quiet and so glad we missed this. Had no idea it was so crazy

I’ll be honest Alex, been to Mega Park a few times, always travelled in from Palma Nova, brilliant atmosphere and a good night out and that’s from a middle aged Scot 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 never seen any trouble maybe just been lucky but def a good day out

I ended up there last month and didnt realise it was pretty much a German resort! A real shock but the Germans were nothing short of amazing. Made the holiday. At MegaPark you had 10 sets of different football team fans drinking and watching the games together. Not 1 ounce of trouble. Put the same english fans together and you know what would happen! Fab resort if thats your kind of thing

Hi Alex. Went to Arenal in the late 1970’s and it was very quiet mainly more mature couples and families, fast forward, what a difference. I’m pretty disgusted about all the rubbish left on the street. It’s not a place for me. But I’m glad it’s only in an isolated resort and not all the resorts are the same. Thanks Alex.

Terrible! Sadly, that has put us right off. We were going to book the hotel behind the Mrga, so glad we didn't. That's exactly the way to tarnish the reputation of a once beautiful place. So sad to see.

Hmm, I hate to say it but this video comes across a little bit xenophobic imo, yes there are huge crowds and they're drinking, but it literally was the quietest most reserved crowds of that age I've seen, literally no one was screaming and shouting, lying in a pool of their own vomit, falling all over the place, and no one was walking up the street half naked in a mankini, it had an almost bizarrely low level of noise given the numbers of people there. Now compare that to Magaluf where the English are haha, the things I've seen there, and in San Antonio Ibiza, and in Benidorm etc. Those Germans were quite respectable in comparison!

Just a little over a week, and I'll be in Mallorca. My little boys' first holiday on a plane we can not wait.😊

It's not just Germans, the problem is not just isolated to one demographic as we all know....Magaluf is trying to clean it's act up for the same reason and Germans aren't the only culprits for excessive drinking and partying..

TBF a lot of them are wearing German and Dutch t shirts so not quite sure you can land this at the feet of the British !!

been there twice stopped on a friends boat in the marina nice club there had some good nights there rather have Magaluf and palma nova tho😎

My idea of hell! But I suppose Majorca would be worse off without all that tourism..sad but true. Spot on Alex! Enjoy yourself but keep it clean and respect the island its not asking much.
