Explanation needs verification. We all created in the 8.4 million species on the planet are habitants of water land & air. Man is @ the top most on the Ladder of Species. To survive & live the perishable life we have we humans do exactly the same as the other 8.3 million species:

1. We need food & drink.
2. We need a place of our own to rest sleep & recover.
3. We need someone to mate with procreate the species.

So, we are born beasts & animals nothing shameful or wrong there that's how we are in this Material Created Nature.

But the "purpose of human life" was not & is not these 3 conditions.

It is for the 4th option we came which no other 8.3 animal beast or creature can do. That is to have a "God given religion " to follow, in love praise reading having faith belief give up one's selfish nature & become in the "image of God" !!

When we pursue sincerely diligently & in sacrifice our given religion in truth we live in the spirit (soul) and not for the emotional heart mind's material knowledge cleverness intelligence, and body's desires hopes wishes wants & needs. We slowly but surely walk away from the former 3 conditions & die for the 4th option.

Naturally all 7.5 billion cannot do that all at the same time as we are all @ different stages in that "grand cycle" of birth death cycling the species until a day dawns and the 4th option is pursued till end. That is a gift a pre-ordained destiny given by God Himself none other can grant it. When it is granted that human gives his or her life in sacrifice to the True Guru. A magical unimaginable transformation occurs, the egg became larvae then.pupa then free as a butterfly to fly away high to The Lord Creator.

I learned this lesson at the Golden Temple. I was searching for a quiet place to sit in meditation and some village women approached me. They said "you look like a holy figure to us." I was caught by surprise and all I could think of doing was smiling and saying "thank you. Sat Sri Akal". I found my place and sat down to meditate. I had been in meditation about 45 min and I heard a booming voice. It said "Go find those women and tell them we are all holy figures." I argued with the voice. I'll never be able to find them in this crowd. They've probably already left. The voice came again and commanded me "I said, go find those women and give them my message!" I decided I better not argue with the voice again. I stood up and turned around and those same women were coming toward me! Only 10 ft away! I gave them the message and they were very happy. They said they wanted a picture with me, but when I asked for their camera they had none. I had someone take a photo with my phone but the women said they have no address. I can only conclude that those women were messengers or angels, sent to teach me to listen and follow when I hear commandments. That was many years ago and I still hear that voice Everytime I'm at the Golden Temple, one of the holiest places on this planet. Wahe Guru 🙏
