Both of my children went to college and earned Bachelor degrees. We are not wealthy so we took out student loans. We and our children knew what our responsibilities were. Is it a hardship on all of us ? Yes. But it is our duty to pay off these loans. We don't expect other citizens to pay our debts. Student loans should all be handled by the government at a low, fixed rate straight across the board regardless of income.
