Caroline looked and sounded more relaxed and at home with James than anything I've seen before. Those two are peas in a pod. 'Elevated' Southern Traditional design and decor is the summit of stylish, comfortable, and gracious hospitality. James Farmer is cream of the crop, in my view.

I have always been a fan of James but Farmdale is beyond beautiful. He is so warm and engaging. The gardens were also stunning with great use of Ballard Designs items. He passed on so many pearls of wisdom. What's wrong with Grandma's house? Be unapologetic, use your best china and serve pizza on it. Exactly!

Thank you very much for this wonderful episode, truly one of my favourites: the gracefulness of the interviewer Mrs. Caroline, the elegance, class and friendliness of the designer Mr. Farmer and his wonderfully cosy home (inside and outside as well), with so many nice details, without overdoing it in redundant frills. Everything is truly a joy for the eyes and the heart. And you can also feel his love for his family of origin, which has passed on to him to become the artist he is today.
