My Search for the Perfect Password Manager!

Man… I wish I could combine some features from Proton. 1Password and Cloaked… I generate email and phone aliases in Cloaked but Proton is my password manager.

What did I learn from this ? Nothing new

Proton Pass is still missing a lot of features for me. For a total newbie, as in, someone who's never used a PW manager before, I would recommend it. But moving from one PW manager to Proton Pass is another affair, especially if you've been using the same PW manager for years. I currently use 1Password, and although they are not open source, they have a lot of advance and basic features that Proton Pass lacks. For e.g., they don't have a lot of categories for types of data you can save (Passport, Social Security #, etc...). Because of that many of my 1Password entries couldn't be imported. Like Proton Drive,  Proton Pass feels half-baked to me.  The one stand out feature it has going for itself is email aliases. But I think it will take them a couple of years to become good enough to compel me to switch.
