Best trailer ever! After 20years from the first time i saw it on PS demo disc I still have chills when watching it.
ОтветитьWho done the voice-over for this original trailer?. I've been looking for who it was now, for quite awhile but can't seem to track down a name. This is what attracted me originally to BS. An awesome trailer and brings back so many good memories of playing this firstly on the PS1 and now on my iPad.
ОтветитьBest game ever. Love it so much.
Ответить- One of, if not, the best game-series ever made, story-wise...
If I have to point out something negative with these games it would have to be the fact that "Revolution Software" fell into the same trap that ohh so many others have done.
I have nothing against them moving over to the 3d-templet, but like so many others they made the mistake of concentrating too much on the graphics.
Which in turn led to the puzzle-portion of BS3 and BS4 being very repetitious.
"Cut and Paste" is a fitting description.
Besides that; The two most frustrating things about BS3 and BS4 is the fact that the copy-protection used for BS3(PC-version) is too sensitive, to the point were it ruins the user experience for people that have actually bought a copy.
On a side note...: Now days one has the option to buy a DRM-free copy through GOG, so it's not that big a problem any more.
But it bugs me; The fact that people with a legally obtained disc-copy of the game have to buy a new, additional copy of the game for it to be playable.
Instead of releasing a patch for this problem... <sigh>
The thing that bugs me with BS4(PC-version) is the lack of Options-controls relating to gamma, brightness and contrast adjustment.
Everything in this regard is dynamically adjusted, and no amount of fiddling with the config-files fixes this problem.
If you happen to play on an old monitor, the game is too dark to be playable.
The only solution I have found so far, in regards to this problem is playing the game in window-mode, which really sucks.
I have for the longest time hoped for them to release a patch that fixes this brightness issue, but nothing so far.
Preparing for a new chapter in the exploits of the lovable duo+, "Revolution Software" thought they would milk some funds out of the old classics by doing like so many others have done; Releasing HD-makeovers.
Instead of getting this big pot of gold they used more than they got in return, hence the reason why they had to go the crowdfunding-route, and in turn the reason why the game ended up in episode-parts instead of a fully fledged all in one game.
2D-games are apparently a lot more expensive to design than their 3D siblings.
But I hope that "Revolution Software" continues these games for many years to come.
If not? Well...
I can always replay the old ones over again.
I have a feeling that I will never grow tired of these games.
When I was playing through Broken Sword back in 1996/7 I was super stuck on a simple part, climbing the wall in Ireland. I remember being frustrated, turning the game off and viewing the demo disc. I loved this trailer back then, too and I watched it many times. Then I saw him climbing the wall with the sewer rod ! I couldn't believe how simple it was.
Funnily enough I trapped the goat without much problem, it was just climbing the wall that had me stumped! Thanks demo disc!
This game was so difficult playing it as a kid. I remember spending a week telling my brother to try combining the key with the soap... what a game lol
ОтветитьGames like this one and Smoking Mirror needs to return.
ОтветитьI remember seeing this trailer on the Broken Sword 2 disk. What was funny, for some reason before I got Broken Sword 1 I always saw George punching the clown in this trailer. Then played for real, watched the trailer again on the disk. He punches Kahn, Right person, wrong costume lol.
ОтветитьAmazing trailer which I have loved for over 20 years. Anyone know the name of the narrator? He has one of them old school English accents plus the movie-like trailer voice.
ОтветитьCan you imagine that voice, "Who's your fucking Daddy, bitch? Mutter it, promiscuous lass!"
ОтветитьSweet child of mine
ОтветитьAbsolutely amazing trailer, plus all the commets are fantastic who would of thought a simple trailer could be so nostalgic. Great time to be a gamer. The 1990s are untouchable.
Ответить"Who are you calling a kid"
ОтветитьПомню была у меня ps1 в 1996 и к ней шёл диск с демками там было это видео, посмотрел ностальгия спустя столько лет
ОтветитьMy childhood!
ОтветитьAh the tingle up the spine hearing that chaps dulcet tones over the trailer that's the tingle of pure unadulterated nostalgia! Definitely one of the greatest games ever made..
ОтветитьThis is clandestine
ОтветитьMy wish when I die is that someone put my PlayStation right next to me.
All my happiness in my life was when I used to play amazing games in my ps1.
I remember this trailer very well. It was on an DEMO-Disc of PC-Games Mag. I really love this game. Im very sad, that they dont make a new version.
ОтветитьHell of an announcer...
ОтветитьThe narrator sounds like Scar from The Lion King!
ОтветитьAbsolutely brilliant game

ОтветитьShould make an updated ps5 version and a movie.
ОтветитьThey should have made a movie or a TV show about this game, the story was superb.
Ответить25 лет назад я познакомился с этим шедевром! Это было супер!!
ОтветитьThe same here in france. Good memories

ОтветитьThere was no better choice than Barry Clayton for this
ОтветитьI love this game!!
Ответитьwho was the narrator of this?
ОтветитьI always thought that Broken Sword had a lot of similarities with Tintin
A crossover would be interesting
2024 and still an amazing game
