Meanwhile the Splatoon series is struggling with Male lead representation.
There are barely any official male inkling or octolings excluding the avatars. And the ones that do exist are canonically old men. In terms of idols, most of them are females, and the only male idol isn't an inkling nor octoling, and doesn't even possess normal human speech (only says one word that gets translated). Don't get me wrong I still like that character, I just wished Nintendo didn't treat him like a background character.

Quite interesting how Splatoon is basically the same situation but the other way around.

Bet you would love to read the beatsheet of my live action Nintendo themed show even if it will likely never be made, titled “The New Savior.” Peach, Daisy, Zelda and Samus are all physically and mentally tough and strong, which greatly impresses the new character. I know which actors can play most of the characters. 😊

I have to say I don't mind the birdeye view, it does bring me back to titles like link to the past and the oracles, the art also looks a lot like a link between worlds. But yes, I wish they would have given her magical powers that attack/defend and hey some nice sheikh action for boss fights would be the thing!
