Okay Zlata Got the E-mail, didn't want to join face book. I've watched several of your videos and have learned far more then watching hours of others. As to how I am doing Well right now not good. I broke my left wrist in early October. And then at the end of November I tripped and of course threw out my hand to break the fall and broke the damn thing again. But as soon as it heals which is supposed to be soon. I will be practicing again using your videos. I am a first time player. I am 64 years old I play piano and guitar. I've got 10 years to learn before I go blind, so i will be giving it my most.
ОтветитьHi, can you please give some advice on which violin to buy. On the inexpensive side? Love from India✌️
ОтветитьHi Zlata. I finally made into the first lesson. I have been finishing the build of my violin and have it tuned now. I will be actively working through the lessons. Thank you so much for these starting lessons.
ОтветитьGreat!
ОтветитьThis was so helpful! I’ve definitely been holding incorrectly...alas, there is gravity here. Thank you for the in depth instructions. Can’t wait to continue the course!
ОтветитьThank you so much. I have my violin, and cheated by getting a luthier to set it up and am now thoroughly enjoying learning violin with you. I love your little email messages. I recommend people commit and register to your course. Just think, somewhere in now flooding rural Australia, listening to the rain and the kookaburras complaining, a violin sound is now heard and you are the teacher.
ОтветитьI am a beginner and I bought a violin and while tuning it the next day, my E string broke. Is that common??
ОтветитьWhen you hold your violin does it feel like it has a loose or does it feel like you can hold it while jogging?
ОтветитьHello, just got my new violin & it’s beautiful! I did the violin hold as you demonstrated and there is an awful lot of slipping going on. Are you supposed to sort of lock it down with your chin?
There is a lot of slipping with the bow as well, I have to stop every couple of minutes to re-secure my grip. And I’m struggling to keep my pinky bent. Would you have any suggestions?
This is so awesome that you take the time to do this!
ОтветитьI have been playing for three years and practice daily for 1 to 3 hours. My first teacher taught NO technique. So I am unlearning bad stuff. I really want this review and to learn what has been missed. Your videos have really been a help to me. I am also interested in the European method talk about.
ОтветитьIt's so helpful well explained
ОтветитьHELLO, I'm Christopher, following your lessons from QLD australian!
Ответитьnice! informative!
ОтветитьGreetings! I'm 78 and played my first notes on a violin yesterday. Also managed to break the E string (twice) and have yet to get one tuned, but I think I've learned to be a bit more gentle in the tuning process.
I'm still trying to get comfortable with the hold, but think I'm getting quite close. The chin rest that came with the rental (student model Yamaha) certainly doesn't line up with MY chin. Finally got the shoulder rest adjusted and that seems to be fine. Have ordered a center-mounted chin rest which should solve the rest of that issue.
My first music lessons were on the accordion and started when I was 8. Went on to play in various competitions and my first job in high school was teaching at the local music studio. The left-hand part of an accordion is organized on the circle of 5ths, so it certainly helps understanding the structure of the violin.
I am TOTALLY dependent on your videos. Thanks!
Happy I started with this video because it is exactly where I need to start; right at the very basics and you provided that sista' Well done. Thank you. Turning 71 in two days and have played guitar my entire life and eventually went on to bass guitar, mandolin and even banjo, however, violin has always, always been my secret love. After having played Lindsey Stirlings' 'Christmas C'mon' during the holidays year after year, I finally got the inspiration this season that I have been waiting for and ordered a Bellafina 4/4, fretboard note position marker tape kit in four colors, Kun shoulder rest and a Piezo pickup kit. When I grow up I want to be as cool as Lindsey ........... hahahahaha ............. lol ...........
ОтветитьMy son who is 9 and playing since he is 3.5 is struggling with intonation to the point that I think maybe violin is not sustainable for him but we have invested so much on this already that it is hard to just quit. I am not sure how to help him because during practice I have to rely on him playing a righ note. I appreciate any advice I can get.
ОтветитьThank you so much for the free violin lesson. I am from Pakistan and I couldn't find a tutor, my uncle gifted me a violin for my birthday after I showed interest in it and I was dying to be able to play though I ended up snapping my E string while tuning QwQ and maybe after your tutorials I'll be able to play this instrument properly.
ОтветитьCome Hobbit concernings lesson place 🙏😅
ОтветитьThank you! Thank you! Thank you!
ОтветитьHi Zlata , very useful info, thankyou!
ОтветитьI love your lessons. I am just getting started and I really want to get the techniques down before moving ahead. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьThank you....
ОтветитьHi Zlata 👋, My collarbone little bit hurts while gripping the violin,,is it normal? Or using a shoulder rest could minimize that?
Ответить"If you live somewhere with gravity that is quite hard" love this
ОтветитьThank you for making these amazing lessons! I am 56 years old and want to learn the violin. I have completed through lesson 8 and working on mastering what I learn before moving on. I did all that in one day and now I just need to practice it. Within a few months of practice with these lessons i will be able to play some fun classical pieces. Thank you! 🙏🏻
ОтветитьI think everytime I put the violin on my shoulder, I always have a hard time to make it stay still since it will press at my collarbone and it just painful 😅 or maybe the way on holding the violin is bad? wrong?
ОтветитьI just joined the course with Zlata and i am learning quite a bit already - and enjoying learning - with her. It’s unbelievable the amount of time she must’ve has spent creating so many excellent videos and free of charge for pupils. Thanks a lot!
Ответитьthank you! i started 'scratching' the violin some months back, and am beginning to get a reasonable sound..... i am 74 years old, but one is never too old to learn new things!
ОтветитьThank you for making this video , u helped me who cannot avoid a violin course but love violin and want to learn it
ОтветитьThank you very much for your kind enquiries. I have just started the lessons and will keep you posted. Thanks once again.
With prayers

Hi Zlata,
Thank you for the very helpful and derailed instructions. It helped me quite a bit.
A major problem that I still have i be s the proper adjustment of my Kun shoulder rest. It seems to be ok for 20 minutes or so and then either it sleeps or my posture gets sloppy. Again, thank you. Any ideas or comments a re welcome.

I need a suggestion on buying my first violin. I am 44 yrs old and a complete beginner, but I don’t want to make a mistake buying my first violin. Please guide.
ОтветитьI am so happy to get these free lessons and they will be a great help as I have a violin teacher in person but we are doing the same Concertino in G Major and this has been a great help.
ОтветитьDank u wel voor de goede uitleg.
ОтветитьAm finding these classes very useful....wonderfully explained...thank you so much.
ОтветитьI wonder to know how is it comfortable when it’s on my neck how I gonna breath😂 + I love the video so much❤

I have decided to take up the violin again at 46 after being sober for a year. Keeps me busy. Thanks for the video
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьMam I am left how carry in right hand
ОтветитьToday I start to study with your videos, thank you! And I just received your book, thank you again Zlata!
ОтветитьI am still on lesson one trying to hold my violin with balance and I know I cant progress any further untill I have mastered this.
ОтветитьThank you so much for your comprehensive course. I'm happy now with you lessons
ОтветитьI know this might sound strange but I am sill having trouble with how to balance my violin but I seem to be feeling a bit more comfortable now, I also try moveing my left hand up and down the neck of the violin but the violin sometimes seems to slip from my shoulder and collar bone.
