It's always so funny when things like this come out and manufacturers do those comparison videos - how current titles run on current hardware/next hardware. Like they want everyone to forget that not too long ago they advertised the current thing they wanted to sell as "THE AWESOME SH*T YOU WANT TO HAVE NOW! GET EXCITED!". Now when they are pushing the new stuff they make those comparisons saying between the lines "look how awesome this this NEW SH*T is compared to this piece of sh*t we already sold you. See how badly this runs? You want the NEW SH*T now!"
It's similar to watching eg. watching another nvidia presentation. Every time the thing that's "... awesome! Look how great! You'll never see anything like it again! BUY NOW!" always turns to "Oh, yeah, this sh*t... no, that's just bad man, you want this AWESOME NEW SH*T! JUST LOOK HOW GREAT IN COMPARISON!" And not to many people seem to loudly say "wait a minute, those things that according to you run like sh*t, were supposed to run great a minute ago... you just said that" ;) Se la vive :).

Please try RDR2, GT7 VR, GTA5, Sekiro, EA WRC. Thanks and keep up the awesome work!

Having a review embargo a day before launch is dumb. Its literally hardware not a game

Do Star Wars Outlaws please. That game is an FSR mess on PS5 and it will be a great test for PSSR to see what all the fuss is about. Dont test Sony games, those are already great on PS5.

Armored Core 6 will be awesome on the pro

Primarily I want to know the advantages for PSVR2 when Sony finally releases PSSR for PSVR2/PS5 Pro. Also, would PS5 Pro/PSSR open the door to Sony to enable PS5 Pro a a VR injector like UEVR is on PC converting non-VR games to VR games? PSVR2 improvements before PSSR would be nice as well.

Be interesting how the pro compares to the base ps5 on silent hill 2 on performance mode. Being a UE5 game and a heavy engine, I’m wondering if it clears the game up if gpu bound.

do you still have your ps4 pro? would be interesting to see a comparison of ps4 titles vs ps5 titles on their respective 'pro' models, like how much does e.g. spider-man 2 improve on the ps5 pro compared to spider-man 1(2018) on the ps4 pro

For the PS4 enhanced games can you take a look at some games with Pro support that use DSR? Can you also check out something like Star Ocean the Last Hope which supports up to 4k on the PS4 Pro. I would be interested to see if this is enhanced as well at that resolution. Is it supersampled?

I'm interested in comparisons between base PS5 and Pro where older model didn't stick to target framerate or comparison with games which have uncapped framerate option. Maybe Uncharted Thieves Collection, The Last of Us Part I, Hogwarts Legacy, both Horizon games, Rise of the Ronin, Ghostwire Tokyo, Resident Evil 2 and 3, Silent Hill 2 Remake, Star Wars Jedi Survivor performance mode with RT if it's possible, Guardians of the Galaxy, Baldur's Gate 3, The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077.

Digital Foundry just said that the ps5 pro doesnt use AMD DUAL ISSUE TERAFLOPS, are this confirm? Because if it is rdna 3 it has to have it.

Not a big bump in peformance, but machine learning is gonna be the kicker.
The biggest console jump on hardware merits, for any console, is still One S to One X.. with around 500% on bandwidth (68 to 326Gbps) and teraflops 1.3 to 6tf.
One X truly deserved its X name, as it was even faster then the highest end GPU consumercard at the time (GTX180 = 320GBps)
It was a mixed of the org. One S being weak and the One X being very powerful, that created that massive +500% jump.

PS5 are 448Gbps and PS5PRO 576Gbps so around +28% gain on the crucial memory bandwidth.

It should come with a Digital Foundry special edition magnifying glass so you can see the improvements you paid for. 😂

Too bad they won't let reviewers show off games before launch. It may tempt more people to buy one.

And Demon's Souls just because it's still arguably the most impressive PS5 game to date.

All games where PS5 struggles with performance and image quality and many considered CPU intensive that some "experts" suggest will not be aided PS5 Pro's upgrade over base PS5. These "tech sites" made early proclamations PS5 Pro but will probably not revisit these titles to fact check there predictions, so this would make great content to shine a light on how true or unfounded those early full stop proclamations turn out under honest like for like comparisons between console and PC counterparts.

Black Myth Wukong. I want to know if the tearing and hiccups seen on base console are managed better. To me that’s a game that caught me saying “this console cannot handle this game”. Maybe it was lack of optimization but maybe PSSR can help?

Horizontal should be better because in vertical the fan is at the top and shuffles the air downwards against the natural tendency of hot air to flow upwards.

are you able to clarify, which architecture PS5 pro is actually using, as there seems to be debate/confusion around whether it's RDNA 3 or not due to TFLOPS figure listed in the safety booklet provided with machine stating it's 16 TFLOPs
