HEAVY TRIGGER WARNING FOR MENTIONS OF SEXUAL THEMES, SA, AND ABUSE!!!! DON'T LISTEN TO THIS COVER IF YOU'RE SENSITIVE TO THAT STUFF!
Been wanting to write more English lyrics for vocaloid songs to cover them, and apparently a lot of you wanted me to do an English cover of New Darling. So here I am to provide...
I think with these covers they'll be lesser effort, because if I try perfecting them I'll probably end up pushing them off for a while (like that Rabbit Hole English cover was basically lying around for a year before I bothered to finish it). Not to say there's no effort, but I'll probably just slap captions on top of the song's music video instead of making a new MV like I did with Gocha Gocha Urusee. I wrote this in like... 3 or 4 hours?
These lyrics are a TAD extreme... that's a lie they're pretty extreme. I was sorta considering toning them down for the final version but I decided not to. It's a MARETU song though, so I think the more extreme lyrics work better. I wouldn't have written them like that if it didn't fit with the song
Anyways lemme know if I should cover any more vocaloid songs in English! I'm leaning more towards songs with little to no English covers because 1. that's cool and 2. if they have an english cover i have probably listened to it a bajillion times and will be biased while writing.
i was even considering doing a plus boy english cover man why am i doing all the WEIRD songs...

Hatsune Miku (Japanese: 初音ミク, [hatsɯne miꜜkɯ]), officially code-named CV01, is a Vocaloid software voicebank developed by Crypton Future Media. Its official mascot is depicted as a sixteen-year-old girl with long, turquoise twintails. Miku's personification has been marketed as a virtual idol, and has performed at live virtual concerts onstage as an animated holographic projection (rear-cast projection on a specially coated glass screen).
Miku uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2, Vocaloid 3, and Vocaloid 4 singing synthesizing technologies, alongside Crypton Future Media's Piapro Studio, a standalone singing synthesizer editor. She was the second Vocaloid sold using the Vocaloid 2 engine and the first Japanese Vocaloid to use the Japanese version of the 2 engine. The voice is modeled from Japanese voice actress Saki Fujita.
The name of the character comes from merging the Japanese words for first (初, hatsu), sound (音, ne), and future (ミク, miku),[a] thus meaning "the first sound of the future", which, along with her code name, refers to her position as the first of Crypton's "Character Vocal Series" (abbreviated "CV Series"), preceding Kagamine Rin/Len (code-named CV02) and Megurine Luka (code-named CV03). The number 01 can be seen on her left shoulder in official artwork.
Maretu (stylized in all caps), also known as Gokuaku-P (Japanese: 極悪P, "EvilP") is a Japanese musician, Vocaloid producer, and songwriter. He started releasing Vocaloid music in 2011, and the Real Sound described him as one of the representative Vocaloid producers since 2017.[1] He has gained a cult following.
Maretu's musical style mixes heavy metal, chiptune, and techno-pop, and he extensively uses drum patterns and Phrygian mode in his musical compositions. Another feature of his songs is the use of traditional Japanese musical elements. As an example, he incorporated shamisen and kakegoe in the B melody of SIU, applying the Phrygian mode to the Japanese-style scale similar to the mode.
Maretu's music videos often feature word clouds, and his lyrics usually tell a story related to the theme, containing depressed romantic feelings, alienation, and antinatalism. Kobashi Taiki from KAI-YOU described his lyrics as "dark and difficult to understand". Maretu always creates a disagreeable atmosphere in his work through dissonance, sound effects with profound meaning, and painful sighs.
