Man she really gives me hope. I’m stuck in Texas, no job, broke college student and I’m trying to be myself but it’s just so hard. Britney gives me hope that my life isn’t over yet- thank you Britney 💜💜

Ответитьshe's talking about something so heartbreaking in a very eloquent and logical way
Ответитьthe college and married by 21 and kids by 24 is so spot on. it’s such a wild expectation
ОтветитьThis whole episode made me CRAVE these two in a podcast. They have SUCH chemistry it's insane
ОтветитьI will say I personally wish my life had shaken out that way. I wish I’d gotten the college degree and married by 21, family by 24. I did the college degree thing in this timeframe, but the marriage and family thing hasn’t happened yet and I’m 25. I think it’s okay to want that timeline and mourn the fact that it didn’t happen. And it’s also okay to not want it, like Brittany is saying here.
ОтветитьI love Brittany so much. I have a weird feeling we are kindred and would be fast friends. Very similar upbringing. Very similar rejection of it
ОтветитьI didn't even know she left Texas. I don't think LA changed her.
ОтветитьI love her ❤
ОтветитьShe could've just moved to Austin tbh 😂
Ответить🖤
Ответитьi relate to my family is not in the mindset to be receptive
ОтветитьI was lucky enough to find my people without leaving Texas. It’s got a rotten government and some people are foolish, but it’s beautiful in some ways and it’s home. I hope things change one day.
ОтветитьShe's so real for this
ОтветитьWhen she talks about Texas it does make me grateful that although my grandparents and I don’t see eye to eye, I’ve always been able to be myself around them and they understand and love me for it. sometimes when they get on a topic I just can’t smile and nod along with it never ends with an argument just a “we disagree on this, I can see your side though, I’m glad you were able to tell me how you felt about it” which as I get older I’m finding is not something common in everyone’s families, ESPECIALLY here in texas
Ответитьwow, i love that brittany can articulate the things i’ve never been to speak out of my head - thank youuuu!!
ОтветитьI still feel the pressure and still feel the need to pursue perfectionism out of fear of loss. Its so hard to shake
Ответитьshe’s so real about your life being planned for you. I fell into that trap, good for her getting outta there.

I felt the same when I moved to Boston from small-town, TN. I will never give up ths experiences I have here in the north for anything. I feel like this is where I am meant to be so this is where I am. My hometown had nothing left for me and I never fit in(in any capacity). I find much more tolerance to differences in the north. I may be different but I am accepted up here so thats all that matters to me, regarding my personal experience.
Ответить"They're not in the mindset to even be receptive to any of it." Damn I could never articulate that sentiment.
ОтветитьThat is certainly a man.
ОтветитьMore male than a post office.
Ответить😂😂😂
ОтветитьKids at 24?! What is this Middle Ages BS?!
ОтветитьThen don’t throw a woman, who you’ve been a fan of for decades, right under the bus when she comes out to tell her story. Weirdo. Phony. Loser.
ОтветитьBut thats Britt’s fault not her family’s
ОтветитьI love live laugh Brittany broski
Ответитьi hate the south
ОтветитьThis makes me think of a joke me and my siblings make it’s that the black sheep of both families married eachother and birthed a whole herd of black sheep
ОтветитьI really like her but is she famous only for trying Kombucha?
ОтветитьShe’s incredibly unfunny
Ответитьyep all my cousins are that woman and im the almost 30 year old childless single uneducated loser. lol
ОтветитьTruth I’m from Texas this is exactly how it is
ОтветитьYeah they don’t accept it because unlike you they have boundaries with morality that should never be crossed 😂
ОтветитьOmg I get this I left home 27 years ago. My family thinks so backwards.
ОтветитьTexas sounds horrible 🤮
ОтветитьThere is so much 🌽 where girls pretend to be underage teens, or people pretend to be step siblings or step parent and child, and that’s not illegal, what this girl is doing really isn’t much different.
ОтветитьI just now realized there was not one mention about A Dog’s Purpose.
Makes sense though. The vibes don’t match this insanity
Omg.. like this is so insanely me. The only difference is my family are a bunch of Alaskans. (They have a weird brand of conservative up there). But very much felt the same. Never could be myself around them.
ОтветитьShe got famous for drinking a kumbucha and I don't get it. She's not funny or entertaining in the slightest.
She just spews the liberal bs all "influencers" are told to say, and the blue haired brigade eat that stuff up.
Oh god forbid your family wants you to have standards and care about your education! Really tone deaf tbh
ОтветитьBrittany is an icon ❤ thank you for being so open, you have no idea what a difference it makes to those of us who are going through something so similar.
Ответитьpeople forget how well spoken and educated Brittany is. it’s also not always easy to go against the grain of the standards set in front of you so to even be able to think outside of her experiences growing up shows that she is a very smart individual
ОтветитьThe older I am the further left I go, or maybe it’s the country sliding deeper into conservative hell
ОтветитьNorth Carolinian here....100% get it.
Ответить“The main character was wearing sparkly converse”😂
ОтветитьThat’s why they say the city “changes” you. It doesn’t; they just never knew you and being around like-minded people gives you the confidence to not mask your personality as much as
ОтветитьUgh, didn’t think I could love Brittany more but here I go. 🥰
ОтветитьI love that.
“You’ve changed.”
No. You just never bothered to learn who I was.
