The special thing about the fire steel holder is that it is not closed all the way round. You can unscrew it and see what it looks like on the back. Then you will see that it will still hold when your firesteel is already worn out. I hope the Kydex sheath will accompany you and the F1 for a long time.

I'd like to see the ferro rod pointing up instead of down. Knowing myself, i'd lose it so fast. Cool product other than that 1 itty bitty issue.

They make some nice stuff. Unfortunately, I can't read German.

You put a piece of shock cord through the eyelet and over the top of the ferro rod to hold it in.
