CJ Cherryh is so damn good! I can’t wait to see if you continue reading her Fortress and Foreigner series. Both are a lot of fun.

Such an underrated series. The trilogy (middle three books, for those playing at home), is badass balls to the wall space opera. Anyone hungry for more great space opera after reading Sun Eater or Red Rising, this series is highly reccomended.

I just couldn't get into her Foreigner series, but her early work was just magic, particularly, imo, the one-offs like Cuckoo's Egg, The Paladin, Port Eternity, Serpent's Reach, Hunter of Worlds, etc. Best space opera I've ever read.
