Don't play the common law marriage game. Never ever tell the government that you're partners. ALWAYS deny it to the state. If the state comes forward and tells you that you're common law, deny and fight it. Always reject the government dictates on you- never submit. Always tell them that there is no proof or evidence that they are right. Simply say that you are not romantic with each other. If they say that there is proof, deny having any knowledge of it. If they ask you about such and such date, tell them you don't remember anything you did on that date. Common law only works if you let it work.
