I have a 22 hybrid and love it.
ОтветитьI applaud the elites deciding if the appliance is exciting enough. Just drive the car, shut up about subjective matters. Tell us real numbers, real prices, real mpg, real cupholderability 😁
ОтветитьHe don't know about current market.
Why do Hyundai/Kia need to make a car cheaply?
Hyundai/Kia have no intention of doing that at all.
Demand that from Japanese cars. Choose from Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Nissan—there are so many options!
All hybrid trims have the column shifter.
ОтветитьDoes it still have that ridiculous garbage truck beep for reversing?
ОтветитьSurprised you didn't address the elephant in the room: how low the rear turn signals are. It's a deal breaker if nobody on the road can see your turn signals.
ОтветитьHyundais ain't cheap. Maybe the used ones but the new ones aren't cheap
ОтветитьA small-displacement, direct injected turbo that's constantly turning on and off? I'd hate to see the intake valves on these things after a few years.
ОтветитьHere goes a top tip.... hyundai hybrid systems are well done if you want to keep your car for a reasonable amount of time, if you plan to keep them long term Toyota´s hybrid system is way more realiable and less problematic. Hyundai´s system works well but it has a few parts which are prone to fail, specially if not well taken cared of or understood how to prevent it.
ОтветитьUltimately, the need for the column shifter (and any electronic shifter in any car) is related to features like “Smaht Pahk” which allow the car to move semi-autonomously without the driver in the driver’s seat. The car can’t move a mechanical shifter out of Park in order to move the car autonomously, so it needs to be electronic. Now, the electronic shifters also have the benefit of looking/feeling more upscale, creating more room in the center console, etc, which is another reason automakers have increasingly added them even to models/trims which don’t need electronic shifters (Also because including them in more cars lowers the cost of engineering…. Economies of scale and all). Yes, electronic shifters are more expensive than a mechanical/cable shifter, and more prone to failure; this is why in Hyundai’s case cheaper models which don’t have those features keep the old console-style shifter. It’s more expensive to engineer two consoles and two transmission layouts, but keeps the lower trim cars cheaper, which is one of Hyundai’s goals.
ОтветитьI average 31 mpg with Forester and don’t have a hybrid. That’s 4 mpg and many thousands less than Tuscan hybrid
ОтветитьRav4...the only way to go .....especially for $35,000
ОтветитьHyundai has found ways to give customers options at a cheaper cost. You want an all-sporty look with painted wheel wells, then get the N-Line. Do you want a regular shifter instead of a column shifter? Then Hyundai has a trim for you. You want something that has some "off-roading" capability? Then theirs is the XRT trim. Again, Hyundai has ways to give their customers options. In fact, they are one of the fastest car brands that actually listen to their customers. Honda and Toyota intake is that hey, we're reliable. Take what we offer you and deal with it. Do you know I've waited almost 10 years for Honda to add a panoramic roof in their Accord? Its 2024, and they are the only sedan in the market that doesn't offer it. Thats what I mean by listening to their customers.
ОтветитьAccording to fuelly 2023 Tucson hybrid average from all users 32 mpg. Rav4 hybrid 38 mpg and for some reason it includes few non hybrid, so really this numbers is higher. But anyway I appreciate Hyundai. Toyota’s prices is so high
ОтветитьIt’s a federal tax CREDIT, not an itemized deduction. So the federal clean vehicle tax credit is not for “the few who itemize deductions” …. although credit’s modified gross income is capped such as $150K for married filing jointly. Guess cap is not adjusted for inflation.
ОтветитьMotoman obviously lost a bet & the payout was having to publish a review of a lower end Hyundai baby buggy. Oh-the-humanity!
Ответить57.5K Cdn. For only 4K more, I'd get a 330i xdrive and at leaat enjoy driving it.
ОтветитьCan someone confirm which trim is this?
Blue?Sel? limited?
Read the instructions! It has different logic when you're flooring, so it's strange to compare driving modes like that.
ОтветитьClearly Hyundai Tuscon setting itself apart from the competition.
Reviewer should understand this vehicle is for the everyday, regular family
This is a car that is close in size to my 2013 Santa Fe sport, has everything I need, and yet I’m trying to buy the 2025 Santa Fe. The Tucson is a more relatable design than the Santa Fe, which I tolerate, but the fact that I see Tucsons everywhere is making me buy the Santa Fe. That’s if I can ever find one in the trim, and ext/int color I want.
Ответить?? Since when do only those who itemize their taxes qualify for the tax EV tax credit?
ОтветитьThe 2025 hybrids get the steering column shifter across all trims.
ОтветитьThis guy pushes the junk Hyundai product! paid? Go to any local Hyundai/Kia and see the overflow of newer cars with service tags in the mirror! Ton's waiting for major repairs.
ОтветитьA turbo linked to a electric motor turning off and on all the time. I woulnt keep it past the 100k mile power train warranty.
ОтветитьThanks. Something special about your insights, sense of humor and editing skills.
ОтветитьThis new interior design in comparison to the 2022/23 is so Disappointing!! What swayed me between Kia and all other cars in that category was the unique dash/screen integration, the best I’ve seen in a modern car to date making it stand out from its competitors who have a clumsy screen awkwardly stuck on top of dash, which is also distracting!
From a top class dash/screen integration to extremely basic… I’d hoped at the very least Hyundai would keep that unique style, and perhaps change the outer body, huge mistake as all its competitors are now in line with the same interior dash, actually I’ll go a step further, the new Tucson dash is a tray to store junk! It’s awful and for that reason I’m out! I’ll not be trading in my 2023 model for this new look next year!
For over $40 K there should be voice control over some of the passenger comfort selections, such as temperature, mapping destination, seat adjustments, media and entertainment controls, etc. … this would keep driver attention on the road instead of searching screens and menus for basic most used functions.
ОтветитьI have a 2025 Tucson hybrid and coming up on 1000 miles. I’m averaging 30 mpgs based on my driving
ОтветитьI go the SEL Convenience trim last week and am very happy with the purchase. I'm glad I wait a couple years before pulling the trigger. The physical buttons are such a plus for volume and climate. Also, I'm liking a lot more than I thought I would the shift by wire on the steering column. The extra space in the middle of the car is noticeable. and the wireless apple car play is very cool too.
ОтветитьFrom other pics/videos I've seen, the shifter looks to be the same on the 2025 Blue trim. On the column.
ОтветитьWhy has life been challenging over the last four years?
ОтветитьYour right Motoman I bought the blue and this is my 3rd Tucson since 2022 the 2025 Blue is great and I think it is better than the 2022 Tucson SEL that I kept for a year. Better value.
ОтветитьThe silver doesn't cost extra. It's a $0 cost color
ОтветитьRear blinkers still down low??
ОтветитьHybrid is a waste of money. The non-hybrid Tucson gets 28 mpg average, this hybrid will have to be driven 200,000 miles to pay for itself......
ОтветитьQuestion: Are the rear blinkers being so low a safety issue?
ОтветитьThe no spare tire thing blows my mind. 😢What are we supposed to do if we get a flat?
ОтветитьSo why are other s lolol
ОтветитьI ordered a 2025 Tucson Hybrid Limited in Shimmering Silver with the black interior. It’s due sometime in June. My birthday is on the ninth so it’ll be a nice present for me…
ОтветитьThe competition pushed them to change the interior? 😂
Nothing in this segment even came close to the sleek design and quality of materials before the update. One could argue Mazda in terms of quality, but design is lacking.
Should I trade my 2017 porches Macan to 2025 Tucson hybrid ultimate? My porches is 10 years old and still runs great but I was toll after 11 years it will start to break down and you know porches is very expensive to fix..
ОтветитьHey we bought a 2025 Ultimate PHEV and absolutely love it! It ended up the same price as the HEV because of a Canadian federal government rebate which was actually suspended in January so we would have lost that however Hyundai honored the 5000 rebate plus a 2000 discount so it was a good time to get the PHEV. We picked it up January 20th and our milage from then till now is 75.87 mpg US or 3.1 l/100km! It is so much nicer than the Rav4 PHEV, quieter and nicer ride, better tech and better AWD system. Even has a bit more power than the 2025 Tucson HEV.
ОтветитьNot one buys the Shit pack , I have a 2022 keeping it and just ordered a Hybrid Elite N Line and funny how the Yanks say Hundai 🤭
ОтветитьYOU NEVER OPENED UP THE HATCHBACK!!! I'm a golfer, and the first thing I do before I even test drive a vehicle is to throw my golf clubs in the back to see how they fit. Because if I am not happy with the way the clubs fit in the back, then there is no point in driving the vehicle!
ОтветитьMy fleet at work is switching from the Chevy equinox to the Hyundai Tucson. I’m looking forward to it based on this review 👍
Ответить......BUT, DOES IT HAVE A SPARE TIRE?
ОтветитьYou didn't review the cheap one.
ОтветитьI own a 25 Tucson Blue Hybrid for a week now and almost 600 miles! This is my 1st Hyundai. I am impressed with the quality and performance for the $. I paid almost $35k out the door for mine. I have to say I was not impressed with the same year RAV4 which had less features and it felt less solid and I couldn't get it nowhere near the same price out the door.
