You aint a Poor Miner if you got 3grams of gold from what 1or 2 pounds in that tray. If your being honest and that's actually melt , it must contain a lot of lead. I'm not expert or anything. I have a cheap 2500X microscope that is USB, it has a ring of LED lights that are dimmable when you see pyrite it reflects the light showing a silver or white reflection but when gold is present it absorbs some of the spectrum of light and looks gold plus its easy to see the molten look of gold, this might help you in identifying the gold if present.
