Barry should have had an Oscar nod for Old Country. He's a treasure.
ОтветитьBarry Corbin always steals the scene, no matter who else is there. That's how good an actor he is. One of my all-time favorites.
ОтветитьI liked the character he played in Lonesome Dove! I named my bestest dog Roscoe B Brown and my mare Peach. She sure was a bitch!
Ответить"I'd piss on a spark plug if I thought it'd do any good"
ОтветитьBrad Johnson did Crossfire Trails. He was a neighbor and friend who took the time to answer my questions about my horses. He explained how alfalfa was not an ideal food for my Arabs. He said it was too hot for them, that it could harm their legs and feet. He drew diagrams of a horses leg and hoof. Then he explained about a rotating coffin bone. I was working for Chris Cox at his ranch in Wyoming when Chris and Nancy his cook told me that Brad had passed. Miss him a bunch. If I could find Mark Brooks who was another good neighbor helping me with my horses, I would like to thank him for keeping his eye on his watch while feeding my mare grass. He wanted to make sure she did not founder. I believe he is working for Taylor Sheridan.
Billy Burton worked on Lonesome Dove, as did Tony Brubaker, Boots Southerland, and a few other guys I knew.
My dog's name is Roscoe Brown
ОтветитьExcellent. Barry is a great story teller. Thank you for sharing
ОтветитьThankyou Rob Word .
ОтветитьA great raconteur! He's been in my three favorite series: "Lonesome Dove", "Northern Exposure", and "The Thorn Birds"! Also loved that scene with Tommy Lee Jones at the end of "No Country for Old Men".
ОтветитьMore with Barry Corbin, please!
ОтветитьIf you are ever in Texas...hollar at me and I will take you to Oliver Loving and Bois Ikards grave. I live 15 min. From the Cemetery.
ОтветитьI'm from Arkansas too. And the way his caricter Rosco Brown talked in Lonesome Dove is exactly how we talk in Arkansas. Can't say that have ever had opossum to eat. 😂
ОтветитьSomeone once asked me what the best western I’ve ever seen was i immediately said “ lonesome dove “
ОтветитьLove the Show prime cut perciate it Hombre.
ОтветитьBarry Corbin was a colleague of Tommy Lee Jones in NCFOM, not his father. Tommy Lee's father died at age 25 according to the dialogue.
ОтветитьAbsolutely love Barry Corbin!
ОтветитьGreat content
Ответить"I can find Texas but how do I find July?!"
ОтветитьOne of my favorite favorites
Ответить@ 17 yrs of age; I was recruited by Military Intelligence @ Ft Bragg, '76-'80. I was assigned to the 5th Special Forces Grp. Woodrow & Gus, as characters, come off as real warriors, of the day.
ОтветитьBest western ever
ОтветитьGreat oral history.
ОтветитьCorbin's stories remind me of a scene from AIRPORT where the guy in the next seat drones on for so long that the other passenger hangs himself.
ОтветитьLove how he mentioned Goodnight & Loving!
ОтветитьHe's always so entertaining!!!
ОтветитьBarry never got the credit he deserves. He was awesome in Northern Exposure!! I hope he shows up on the new four 6s spinoff of Yellowstone.
ОтветитьBarry was also on a video game Red Alert part 3
Ответить"Peach!"
ОтветитьBarry is totally delightful. I've always enjoyed his acting.
ОтветитьBarry Corbin will always be Uncle Bob from Urban Cowboy
ОтветитьWhat a awesome actor and a great story teller lol
ОтветитьWow, what a great interview. I bet he would make a top notch after dinner speaker. Now that I see the normal him, it just makes his acting roles even more impressive.
ОтветитьI loved him on Northern Exposure playing former astronaut Maurice Minnifield. Good times.
ОтветитьW
ОтветитьHey, Rob, was that Barry's grandson, Jordan Walker Ross, who accompanied him to the event?
ОтветитьBarry Corbin was my favorite in Northern Exposure ! Quality work, thank you..
ОтветитьThis is a great channel. I thoroughly enjoy western movies and I always will. Watched them all my life starting on Saturday mornings. Thank you for the interviews of these wonderful and treasured actors. They were and are very talented. Barry Corbin would be a director’s first choice. He’s a very gifted actor.
ОтветитьBarry Corbin: One of my favorite actors who never fails to give a great performance. I liked him in the movie SHORT TIME, in WAR GAMES, and in an episode of COLUMBO. He could play heavies, light comedy, drama, and inspirational roles - he is a jack of all acting roles and a master of all of them too. I understand at 82 he still rides horses daily!
Ответить"Uncle Bob" summed up Tommy Lee perfectly: "he's a good guy, he's real smart, and he's got the social graces of a badger!" PERFECT!
ОтветитьRob..."And that's the way it suits you"
