Earning a doctorate requires dedication, commitment, and focus. You have to want it bad enough to make it a priority. Time management and family support are also important. Working a full time job with family responsibilities are factors that have to be taken into account when pursuing a doctorate. Taking one course at a time enabled me be successful throughout my program. Also having the support of a family and friends gave me the strength to continue even when it had become difficult. Also reach out to your teachers, students, and use the resources of the school to help with areas that may be challenging.
