Hello dr. My wife is pregnant in the 40 day and she have hyperthyroidism. She strat to take PTU 50 twice per day but i am so scard because i read that it causes fatal hepatotoxicity. Please advise me what to do. I am so tense 😢😢

low thyroid levels can be caused by other issues, particularly other synthetic pharmaceuticals. your statement “patient has to take for rest of life” is wrong if the underlying issue wasnt differentially diagnosed
