Governor Scott has initiated the campaign "The 500 days to 500 years"

The Spain Florida Foundation's Board of Directors met Governor of Florida, Rick Scott and Secretary of State, Kurt Browning to kick off "the 500 days to 500 years" campaign on August 22nd, at the Sabadell Financial Centre.

The meeting highlighted the important commemorations of Juan Ponce de Leon's landing on Florida shores in 1513, and the many activities planned for the remaining 500 days' countdown until January 2013.

The roundtable served to recognize the merits of the Spain-Florida Foundation 500 Years to commemorate the Spanish Heritage, the Hispanic cultural and historical contribution to Florida and the rest of the United States as well as reinforce the bonds between Spain and the United States.
