I could certainly use this carb for my 75 CT90 which is now in rehab. Unfortunately it is no longer available from AMZN and I cannot find another with the same specs....Appreciated your rebuild video and am working with that.
ОтветитьCarb is currently unavailable from Amazon, could be Covid related shipping problems.
ОтветитьBuyer beware, the Chinese carburetor will not fit a 1969 ct90 k1. The bolt holes do not line up, I have already tried two different carburetors from different suppliers and neather one worked. Also most new carbs for the ct has the overflow come straight down, which also creates a problem with trying to attach them. You can pretty much find carburetors for the ct except for the 1969ct90 k1.

ОтветитьVery well done thanks for this very helpful for my 70 CT90 I just got!
Ответитьplease state the make & model carburetor and where to purchase. thank you. good flick
ОтветитьWill this carb fit a 72 CT90? Since the carb you recommend is currently unavailable, do you think it’s worth a gamble on one of the other Chinese carbs available on Amazon?
ОтветитьAloha buddy! Great vid man, really helpful!
ОтветитьIt would be so helpful to know the model or part ID. With that said I know it exist somewhere.
ОтветитьThanh you for doing this helpful video, I have a CT 90 trail bike and need a new carb. Where did you find yours? I see on mine the bolts to the intake are not directly horizontal but slightly off set which allows the carb to sit horizontal or straight. Is that how your carb was ?
ОтветитьNo longer available on Amazon :-(
ОтветитьThat style of manger is often stamped on the underside so you might have to remove it to see. I know I’m late to the party but you don’t want it to be too lean. Completely stock it should be somewhere around 75 and 65 is too lean.
ОтветитьGreat video. Thank you. Do you know where I get replacement or different size jets? I bought one as a spare and when I cleaned it noticed one of the jets is clogged from the factory.
ОтветитьA spacer under the intake tube would have rased the carb no?
ОтветитьI have a cm91 with carb problems. what is the distance between the studs on this carb? centre to centre
ОтветитьYou know where i can find the 1/4" black plastic looking gasket against the carburetor? Mine is split and broken chunk missing at the bolt. I need this carb and gasket. Thx for sharing! 👍👀
ОтветитьI purchased this carburetor. It never ran properly. So for me it was a total waste of money.
ОтветитьThanks for the video…. Trying to find a K-1 carburetor for a 1969 CT90…, Coming up dry any ideas?
ОтветитьGood informing video. I'd like too see more ventilation in your shop for your sake though :) perhaps a hose on the exhaust out the window at least. Happy trails.
ОтветитьThank you sir. I have a new Chinese carb on my ct 110 (1982). I've got good compression, taken top end off, had valves leak tested and the rings while original seem to hold air under leak down (in other words I highly doubt internal engine problems). Tuned and re-tuned the carb and it runs great but only through mid throttle. Tried every clip position on the pin (it came to me at position 3- moved it to five and it ran poorly- I find position 2 is the best). Very responsive throttle, great starting. Even though the carb has less than 100 miles I did a cleaning (not rebuild) however I did NOT check or adjust float level. I am not confident that I can measure level with a caliper/rule so i will check with the clear tube method. Do I sound like I am on a logical path here to determine why under heavy load AND/OR WOT it bogs, spits--If I apply manual choke under those circumstances it almost kills the bike. I welcome any and all's advice. Thanks for the great videos. Subscribing now. Jim
Ответитьthink this would be a good choice for my 1982 ct110?
ОтветитьI had very similar results with mine. I have the same carb. Did trim the overflow pipe too. I had to set my needle to the highest groove (lowest position), but other than that, she's a runner. Named it DREAMSICLE. It's orange.
ОтветитьThe link for model # is not visible. Please notify where I can buy it and the model # if possible. Thanks
ОтветитьAwesome video! Also do you think this aftermarket carburetor would work with a 1967 model? The intake is vertical facing up and down instead of horizontal fore and aft like the 70s models. Not sure if this would mess up the float operation.
ОтветитьGreat vid. I've been thinking of buying a new carb for my ST90. I have the high idle issue and I have solved all air leaks except near the base of the carb. Had new rebuild kit with new gaskets. Still an air leak. I'm wondering if I have a crack in the carb somewhere. I'm also wondering if my high idle issue is caused by something else.
ОтветитьJim Morton I had the exact same thing happen on a 76 CT90. Put the new carb on. Had adjusted the points and at WOT it will bog every single time. I am in Idaho at 4200 feet but definitely frustrating experience.
ОтветитьI just picked up a 1970. This is good info, thanks!
ОтветитьDoes anyone have the measurements for the distance between the bolt holes on the manifold side and the inside diameter for that side?
ОтветитьTianfeng has a $20-25 carb, no high altitude, choke hits the plastic cover (if you still have one)
ОтветитьToday I solve a long going problem.
I've stressed over my carb no doing good after 35 mph except down hill , today I drilled holes in my gas cap and that fixed it.
My bike now gos 45+ more down hill "I can live with that"
What I learned was it was creating vacuum in the tank and sucking air through the gas line going into the carb at the carb under the clamp.
My cap had a very small hole on one side and two the same small size on the other, I drilled two on each side approximately the size of #2 pencil lead , I did get a little splash of gas out of those holes but my tank was completely full at that test drive time.
Maybe this can help with someone else mystery.
I wish I could send pictures.
Where did you get the air boot from?
ОтветитьWhat is the model number & where did you buy this carburetor
Ответить👍♥️🥰
ОтветитьJust installed this carb on my ct90. Its leaking gas from the bottom overflow when in the on or reserve position. Any idea what I have done wrong? Thanks for the great video!
ОтветитьChina got one right on the gasket wow
ОтветитьMission impossible one kick 🦶🦵
ОтветитьWhy didn't u rebuild original?
ОтветитьHey ain't rocket science 🧪 u wont t see one them on Mars
ОтветитьImpossible china doesn't fit agsinst Japanese or Taiwan built
ОтветитьI apologize for previous comment, installed carburetor from winn cycles your correct hood upgrade, may have to trim shroud to clear throttle cable thx
ОтветитьThe first one I ever bought it was a piece of shit second one was absolutely perfect 😂
ОтветитьSo what’s the name of the the aftermarket & at what web site to look up?
ОтветитьСпасибо, тоже были сомнения, теперь точно куплю. Еще раз спасибо, рад что нашёл ваше видео.
ОтветитьGot my carb on EBay. Pulled out the drain pipe And shortened it on a sanding wheel, tapped in back into the carb and no more clearance problem. One kick start.
ОтветитьChalk one up for Chinese.👍
Ответитьthe ct110 carb will work just fine on the ct90 and you get a little better performance overall and a little easier to source. I have a CT110 carb on my 90, I'll have to see what jets I am using
ОтветитьGot mine for half the price of yours, and it's identical. Just as good.. 👍
ОтветитьI owned a 1970 CT90 which the PO had sent in to Powroll in Bend, OR, was their race tuned stroker, bored and hotter cammed 125cc. The original carb was replaced by an ATC125 carb. It made great power but it really could have used an oil cooler which no-one made back then.
Your after market carb starting without the choke means it's far too rich in the idle circuit pilot and possible the airbleed adjustment too. Stock adjustment should be the engine starts with the choke on and starts to stumble a little so you feather open the choke in stages until it's fairly warmed up
26 years later, I've got a 1969 C-102 with a extremely worn 49cc stock engine and I've replaced it with a semi automatic, pitbike 125 cc Honda clone, that isn't too far from the performance of that old Powroll kitted engine. Same rather stiff compression means you've got to start it like an old BSA MX 500, with the engine on TDC/compression stroke. It's clone engine has a clone ATC carb and that carb needed a lot of rejetting work with it also being too rich in both the main and pilot. I kinda miss my old Powroll'd CT90, that engine's immediate torque curve increase almost made the 4X4 trail gearing unnecessary.
