Recommendations welcome! We hope you enjoyed Edinburgh with us 👩❤👨
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks for sharing your travels. Anything you'd do differently next time?
Ответитьgood for you, Chelsea! if you're going to try haggis, Edinburgh is definitely the place to do it!
ОтветитьDamnit I live in Scotland and have been in Edinburgh dozens of times but I've learned more about Edinburgh in the last 20 minutes than I ever knew ,I've got to start reading the info plaques ,thanks ,you're reports are excellent
ОтветитьAs a Scotsman, I'd like to commend you both for your, pretty decent, attempts to introduce some Scottish history into your VLOG. It is very rare for visitors to take the trouble to delve into the history of the place they are visiting and give accurate historical facts, to this degree, in their VLOG's. Also very well produced with a nice touch of humour!👌
ОтветитьIt’s princes street not princess
ОтветитьHaggis does not have sheep's stomach and intestines in it. It is liver, heart, and lungs, mixed with oats and spices, cooked within the stomach lining. It is very nice, like a scottish meatloaf.
ОтветитьBrilliantly funny (and well researched) video of Edinburgh. You are both the best reviewers of Edinburgh I've seen! Well done! Enjoy the rest of Scotland! (Just don't wear the kilt backwards again!) To be fair, you did sort yourself out! Have a great holiday!
ОтветитьCornwall is a beautiful place if you ever make it down to the bottom of the UK (Not that we're biased)! We may even have to treat you to a pint and a pasty.
ОтветитьGreat vlog, guys. You got lucky with the weather!! I love Edinburgh - The Athens Of The North 🎉❤
ОтветитьI'm glad both of you are pronouncing Edinburgh properly.A really good tour video by the way.
ОтветитьGreat video well worth a subscribe, mary kings close is an interesting tour if you ever get a chance
ОтветитьGreat video! Haste ye back! (Come back soon in old Scots). One love from Scotland. 💙
ОтветитьWhat you probably don't know is that under the floating floor of the Tron Kirk are old streets and stairs from an archeological dig that were covered about 15 years ago to modernize the market. They used to be featured as part of the tourist information centre.
ОтветитьLang is Scots for long so these steps were never going to be easy 😅
ОтветитьBrilliant tour guides of my home town and congratulations for not saying ‘Edinborrow’ as so many North Americans do! Hint: if you really wanna sound like a local, say ‘Embra’ with a wee trill on the ‘r’! 👍😉 Thanks again.
ОтветитьLoved you sharing this folks - Come back soon !! x
Ответить😂😂😁🇬🇧
ОтветитьYour a Lucky man mate your wife is Lovely. Nice video i like all the history Facts .
ОтветитьIts not the Ghost you have to worry about its the bloody Living .
ОтветитьEdinburgh is pretty, unfortunately a huge % of the local people are not, the consistent undertone of racism is awful.
Ответитьactually it used to be a stinking swamp used as the main sewer and for drowning witches .
Ответитьadd a little milk and perhaps some sugar to your tea you may prefer it over drinking without. dean village isn't next to edinburgh its a neighbourhood within edinburgh
ОтветитьGreat vlog, but can we refrain from UK as Scotland is very vibrant historically on its own. No need to be diluted under some UK brand. Edinburgh and Scotland in general is incredible.
ОтветитьFun fact its actually Robert the Bruce that is the real (original) "braveheart". It was much later the name was given to William Wallace. And Deans Village is a sleepy little Village not a town, the clues in the name. 😉Its just called "The Grassmarket" not grassmarket street. Great video glad you enjoyed your stay.
ОтветитьThe Grassmarket
The Vennel
No street needed .
Fun fact; Scotland is the world’s biggest producer of Gin, so not only are you at the home of Whisky you are also in the world’s largest Gin producing country.
ОтветитьEnjoyed that. Haste ye back.
ОтветитьThe building in Dean Village with the courtyard and the clock tower was where William Alexander set up the first Golden Wonder Crisp factory (potato chips to our North American friends) after initially starting production as a sideline in a baker’s shop in Stockbridge) After the premises there proved too small he move to a purpose built factory in Sighthill, however the legacy of crisp manufacture remained. Years later when it was decided to fix the clock in Dean Village one of main reasons found for it having stopped working was that the mechanism was a thick layer of grease from the crisp frying process clogged it up.
ОтветитьDid you not see the "etched U.S. Flag on a 2 masted Schooner" on the old original American Prison Cell door?
ОтветитьThe Church of St John the Evangelist, is a Scottish Episcopal church in the centre of Edinburgh. It is sited at the west end of Princes Street at its junction with Lothian Road, and is protected as a category A listed building.
On the left as you go in the door is a plaque for a John Stuart Forbes (J S Hiley) who had to leave Edinburgh in disgrace and ended up in America but his bad luck followed him as he joined the U.S. Cavalry and landed in the 7th and went down with Custer at the Battle of Little Big Horn.
The grandfather of American folk singer Joan Baez, William Henry Bridge was Minister here and her mother Joan Chando Bridge was born in Edinburgh and baptised in St Johns.
Edinburgh by far is one of the most amazing and beautiful cities I’ve ever been to! Thankyou for posting this!
ОтветитьI live here and even I didn’t know a few things you talked about. Really entertaining video and so so well put together, you seem like a very lovely couple and your knowledge round the castle was very impressive and amusing too, I’m going to follow your channel , lovely 🥰
ОтветитьAs an Edinburgh born guy & now living up in the Highlands I loved your video, glad you included some history, humour and explored beyond the Royal mile area. Brent my man you actually suited wearing a kilt, have you booked any bagpipe lessons yet ? 😂. Thanks for the places to eat ideas as I am down in Edinburgh next week meeting family who are up visiting from Wales. Question for the pretty Chelsea, are you related to JK Rowling as there is definitely a wee resemblance 😉.
ОтветитьTrust me living here sucks
ОтветитьThanks for a great video of my beautiful city, I mean I don’t own but you get my drift 😜🖤
ОтветитьStockbridge market has roots that go back at least ten years.
ОтветитьRobert Burns was someone who refused to pay for the children he brought into the world. He was a serial rapist, too. Read his letters. Why we celebrate a nasty POS like him is beyond me.
