It would annoy me to death that there is no bridge above to connect the 2 halves of the boat together.
ОтветитьLets hope this yacht dont get caught is a big storm, looks like that bow would taco the boat in half when taking a large wave over the bow.
ОтветитьIf you hate it when an identical yacht docks next to yours… no worries here.
ОтветитьNo place comfortable to sit
ОтветитьStunning engineering exercise BUT it’ll look out of place ANYWHERE tropical or high end and although no doubt highly capable in rough seas for arctic expeditions all those luxury flourishes will take their toll in harsh conditions and look tired / worn out in no time at all most likely
Ответить20 mil Euros for a refurbished fishing boat.
ОтветитьThat new technology on that older ship blew my mind, there was no skimping back on anything. I see some ppl saying it looks plain, but they have no clue about the quality of tech, and steel trawlers seaworthiness. This ship/yacht is like a blank canvas with everything else being thought of at the highest quality, not fancy carbon, or fiberglass and glass ice chandeliers. This is actually a real ship, tried and proven already, all the bells and whistles are on the important parts, the nav, and other systems.
ОтветитьWhere does the work happen?
ОтветитьThat is the cleanest engine room I have seen in a while, damn!
ОтветитьThe wheelhouse also reminds me of Star Trek, what a place that is. My first thought was Star Trek.
ОтветитьI saw it in Halifax yesterday. It’s a beauty! ❤️
ОтветитьGreat reporting and video recording. This is a real boat. You go into it and it is a boat, it spells adventure, marine life, expedition, exploration. It does not look like a luxury penthouse many other motor boats look like. This boat would feel comfortable in Monaco but also in North Atlantic or Cape Horn. Well dune, keep it up. Subscribed.
ОтветитьGood bugout option.
ОтветитьGuest cabins look plain and industrial compared to the colorful master.
ОтветитьWhere are the clearview screens? And the traditional ship's wheel for steering?
ОтветитьIt is so heart-warming to see these old hard-working seagoing ships retire into a life of luxury who still have the stamina to shame youngsters in any seas
ОтветитьThis refit had to have taken a decade. Unbelievable vision and execution
ОтветитьNice, skylights over EVERY bed, that doesn’t look like they can be blocked, nothing like watching your company get it on😐
Ответитьgreat re fit.. but if you hit massive seas and the boat is covered with water..what happens to the outdoor galley?
ОтветитьWhat a wonderful project! Thank you for sharing her with us!
ОтветитьBridge visibility sucks
ОтветитьI enjoy your videos. Suggestion: could you mention crew requirements and/or numbers of crew cabins/berths? Thanks
ОтветитьWell done rebuild. Always appreciate when a new take is able to respect the feel of the previous product.
ОтветитьA Lithium Ion battery pack on a boat? Good luck putting that fire out. Apart from that nonsense, she is a gorgeous ship. Jealousy rages in me !
ОтветитьNew Sub here, can somebody explain the 500 ton limit? is that a classification thing
ОтветитьAny tips as i will soon be joining as co.
ОтветитьBeautiful
Ответитьconsumption quite high, no?
ОтветитьNicest wee walk I’ve ever had
Thanks
What's the downflooding angle?
ОтветитьWhy were they required to keep that massive forward mast. Pretty sure the lines would have looked more clean with it removed.
ОтветитьThanks, for your video,I wish that I can afford this vessel,is a beautiful,can go anywhere....many thanks 🙏
ОтветитьGreat looking boat! Maybe talk less while giving a tour. Its a yacht tour, not the Bayeux Tapestry.
ОтветитьYou like your non " cocktail" yacht visits. Form and function yacht.
That galley and dinning room is special.
The form and function of her is also comfortable and with safety in mind as in the all of the ships areas.
great boat but not much space for guests but a grat boat,
ОтветитьWhat a HELM! This is an AMAZING Yacht! This is what I have dreamed of to CAPTAIN as my own high-tonnage personal vessel. For me, to live aboard and travel the world in such an ultra-long-distance full-displacement-hull heavy-seas trawler-design would be my dream boat! And I would make sure the bridge/helm is EXACTLY like this one! I want full-command and control no matter the sea conditions and THIS bridge is what does that for me!
I want it! Of course, I did put in a few dollars to buy some tickets of the U.S. MegaMillions and Powerball lotteries with their $700 Million+ USD jackpots so that I may have a chance to BUY and do the courses needed to CAPTAIN such a vessel as this so my fingers are crossed that I win! LOL!
Anyways, I looooooove the look and style of this vessel and for the money, this is DEFINITELY one of the BEST expedition-style motoryachts out there!

Do the set lights have blinds? I'm just thinking of summers at high latitudes... it's bad enough in Scotland in the summer. Without blinds it's tricky to sleep.
It's a great conversion, some years ago I went in the late Lt Commander Buster Crabbe's converted Fife trawler. Considerably smaller than this but again a vessel chosen for its superb sea handling and sea worthiness.
Apparently Crabbe would tease the naval mine hunting fleet as he would make a point of staying out in all wearhers whilst they scurried for port!
Horribly ugly for-mast structure, why on earth were the ugly side steps created ? ? ?
Why was the whole bridge deck not chopped and moved forward and a beautiful rear upper deck not added ? ? ?
Why can’t it be classified as an Expedition Yacht if it is not Ice Rated ?
You said that the ship could sustain 15 days autonomously at sea. This seems like a short time for an explorer yacht. Maybe I am not understanding the context of 'autonomous' in this case. Could you explain?
ОтветитьSuperlative ! I cannot be more impressed !
ОтветитьWhat do you do if you are sailing around Africa and you only go 9 knots and some African pirates are after you?
Ответитьvery cool
ОтветитьWell, i guess building that thng did employ a few foks..
ОтветитьHow much fuel costs, would dictate where you would travel!
ОтветитьWhat are the rules/laws about firearms on board these ships in international waters or when in port?
ОтветитьEverything about this vessel is superb, but there's always a but, the skylights in the deckheads would annoy me. I was at sea 50 years and have never seen a vessel more suitable for long range expedition's.
ОтветитьAmazing job and they have really thought out how to repropose what was a trawler.
The problem that is inescapable is that it looks like a trawler, and you can never disguise that fact.
This means when you consider the money spent, there will always be other large yacht owners who will look at this and sneer in distain .
You can never get away from the fact it was a trawler, and that in itself presents a problem at this kind of price .
As an ‘explorer’ vessel, it is limited to a certain commercial use, but it is very
Impressive.
Never underestimate the power of snobbery though…
Gelatin Nature. Fantastique!
