I work in music production, and i can say that this CPU was a great investment for my hackintosh. I can just keep adding plugins without a noticeable performance difference. Just pass the DAW another thread... :D

Hi Jay, I know it's a little late for Broadwell-E (as of now) but I'm buying a used 6950X and there doesn't seem to be much quality content out there on overclocking them, especially in regards to best practices for the architecture and max safe voltages for 24/7 etc. I was hoping that since Skunkworks is back on the attack if you can do a video on it? Regards.

Is this Video really only 4 Years old ? My 3900x has 12 Cores and ( with CCX OC ) a CBR15 score of 3438 on a Mainstream B450 Motherboard and the new Ryzen 5900x may even Crush the 4000 CBR15 Mark ( i downloaded the Beta Bios for the 5xxx Ryzen support of my B450 last week )

I know this video is older but Im still on the x99 platform with a 5930K, 5960's little brother. I do a ton of rendering and lightmap baking for game dev inside Unity engine. My CPU is the main bottleneck at the moment. So my question is, is it worth upgrading inside the X99 platform, 6950X or maybe a Xeon, or should I just switch my MoBo and CPU to a new generation, Ryzen 5000 series or 10900k?
