I could never understand why others couldn't see what I see in some people. Like when I could see someone was clearly lying or dangerous and they couldn't. I stopped saying anything because of being accused of being judgemental even though I was eventually proved right. Ive always told my kids and grand kids, about the "oh oh" feeling they might get from someone. No matter if there doesn't appear to be anything wrong, to get away from them. I learned the hard way, until I learned it was never wrong. Your description of an empath was right on and though I am happy to know there is a reason people can't relate to me and many of my life experiences have been as you described, at 76yrs old I've had enough and become reclusive. Absorbing the negativity of people around me, has become more than I can cope with.

Yeah I'm all of this to the t it blows me clear out of the water I can feel people's feelings when they even on my TV it is so strange I go to my doctor's office and I can feel how she's feeling that day it's crazy when my husband cheated on me it was like I was there I can't even describe it I knew exactly what he was doing I knew exactly who he was with I don't know how I knew but I knew and like I said it was like I was right there it was so intense I can't even describe it he denied it but I knew I was right and then the truth came out I know deep down the next morning when he came home and tried to climb in the bed with me and I said don't you put your hands on me and I said I know you with your ex-wife last night he freaked out lied about it but when it came out he asked me how I knew that I said it was like I was in the very room with you I could feel it I was also 4 months pregnant so I felt every minute he spent with her I'll never forget it

The intuition that come along with being a strong Empath is insane. Ive called it "the Jedi" my whole life until I learned about it. Does anyone else have a crazy fast reflexes? Since I've found out more about who I am, a question keeps running thru my head. Why do we exist? I'm pretty sure I exist do to severe sexual abuse as a small child. I learned how to "read" people at a young age.
Is this common among Empath's? Does abuse in general cause a person to have a hieghten sense about people?

I'm so used to having my feelings as an empath invalidated & abused (although I'm one of those empaths who reached breaking point & got onto the right path of now standing up for myself, & things have changed dramatically with my parents since I've done so), so it's very refreshing & confidence building to have my feelings validated. It's Gift and a Curse sometimes it's hard to find a balance. Being loyal and always trying to see the best in people can lead to shattering and traumatic Heartbreaks. Especially since we attract broken ppl and Narcissists

With all the wonderful characteristics of an empath, they are the easiest to love.🌈🌟💫❤️ Let’s not forget they’re very romantic, they view love in the purest form. If you’re sincere in your pursuit of love, connecting with an empath is a gift.🎁 However, if you’re a lair, a cheat, manipulator, please stay away because there will never be harmony in the relationship, why? The empath will know something is off, therefore, they cannot not fully commit themselves to you. Particularly, this message is to all narcissists; I get it, empaths are special, however, when you hurt them, my friend, there’s a huge price to pay..they’re God’s chosen ones.☮️

55 now and exhausted, life has been all that is described, in many partners, ex wife, work bosses,the list goes on and on, never understood money and greed, why some people would betray others for money, shiney things and stuff. makes no sense, did i arrive here with the wrong instuctions or did i just get off at the wrong stop!? , i have no inclination to control other people, just live in harmony....i want to find someone who is same but like a narc magnet the cycle never stops. so living a quiet life until i go back home.

It is all correct from my experience, which is really hard sometimes but the reward is inner energy to love and to feel love... even while alone and lonely hearted. I often feel as the only person in a room full of people. I have met one person that allows me to feel like I am not the only person in the room , she is much younger than myself and on a friend bases only yet I find myself needing to give back what I can as just a friend which is rewarding even as it creates an empty spot within my heart, she is unaware I am in Love with her and I feel there is nothing I can do but be the very best gentleman and genuine friend that I can be for her benefit....
