One thing we know about oppressed people when you can't enjoy true freedom you surround yourself with the symbols of that freedom when you beeb vilified almost all your life it only makes sense to escape the oppression so let's say I was Indian living in the west and wasn't free what would I do change my name to Michael mosley so as to keep favour with those in authority so as to have some respite

Any culture is better to the extent it values the individual rather than special interests, even the majority.

As an atheist, and a left wing one at that, her recent conversion to Christianity is certainly an issue. However, I hope that as atheists we remain open minded enough to still listen to what she has to say, regardless of whether we necessarily fully agree with her conclusions. I learnt a great deal twenty years ago about Islam from her and had to rethink my position. She is far more coherent than Jordan Peterson at the very least. I would rather be able to understand and articulate her position, rather than just dismiss her out of hand because she no longer stands with my particular world view. My concern is about learning, and the source, provided it is well reasoned, matters little to me.
