Spoiler alert! You'll find out how the exterior and interior sets actually were. The magic of film and editing. Do you have a favorite room?
ОтветитьThank you for the video, Ms. Norton. I want you and your fellow cast, crew, and writers to know that The Waltons was one of the shows that raised me to be a good man. My parents and siblings abused me in every way imaginable for 17 years. All I had were the sitcoms of the day to teach me about life and thankfully that was in the 70's when TV still had morality. I thank you for all of the lessons learned and the company and hope that you all gave me. I hold all of those values true, today.
ОтветитьOh how I miss being little, dressed in my pj’s sitting on the floor in front of the very large box tv with a big bowl of popcorn watching The Waltons! The fondest memories of my childhood. John boy inspired me to become a writer. If only we could rewind time.
ОтветитьI love this so much at 59 years old.
ОтветитьJudy still looks very pretty, I had the biggest crush back then, heck, still do. Thanks for the video Judy..
ОтветитьThanks Judy.
ОтветитьGood night, Mary Ellen.
ОтветитьThis show takes me back to yesteryear when I was growing up the show reflected on family life and country life you all done a great job with the show value the time you have with each other my parents are gone God rest their souls take care and God bless all of you 😊
ОтветитьDoes anybody else hear the theme song starting when you see that house?
ОтветитьWow 😳, interesting 😃!!!
ОтветитьInteresting stuff.
ОтветитьThe day's when TV still had decency and showing what family and respect and grandparents mattered. Sad life has taken such a eivl turn. Sinful and corruption fills our tv and our lives these day's. Even our music in some ways has taken that same course. Unfortunately it all leads to "End Time's " God will rewrite our wrongs. Thanks to his Grace and Forgiveness.
ОтветитьEnjoyed this video very informative ‼️😊
ОтветитьWhat a wonderful show! We watched it, as a family, every week. I miss those no longer with us, and I miss what television was back then.
ОтветитьJudy, you have aged like, what? A nanosecond? How do you do it!? Please share your beauty secrets with fans!
ОтветитьSo, if most of the filming was done on a stage, where was the filming done when people were walking or driving country roads or walking up into the mountains or Drisilla's Pond?
ОтветитьI Loved this show then and now. It brings such warm memories of family. Do you know if anyone ever built this house to scale in the real World? (Ala: the Brady House.)
ОтветитьMy wife and i will watch over and over never gets old . I watch because my dad and my mom lived this and i live this because it keeps my memories of them alive because of the show . Thank you
ОтветитьLoved that show so much, miss it a lot.
ОтветитьAre the set wall 10 feet Long 8 feet high and connected with wing nuts and bolts and how and where do they store them and how easily can they be moved used for different tv shows
ОтветитьThe Walton children were a fantastic group of talent. Fun to watch them, Grandpa, and the Baldwin sisters.
Ответитьin the 1970s i worked for rod peterson, i did their landscaping and lawn care at their house in studio city, rod and claire were wonderful people, i believe along with being the producer both of them wrote many episodes, best tv show ever.
ОтветитьStill a pretty lady.
ОтветитьYour still so beautiful after all these years I fell in love with you back Then
ОтветитьIt's truly amazing that the actors could completely ignore all the platforms, lighting and set equipment and get into character and act the scenes out and they looked so real and the emotions and the story line were really convincing. The directing , writing and the acting was wonderful and it really left a deep family heartfelt impression on the minds of all their viewers. Earl Hamner's narrations added just the right touch of historical authenticity and feelings to the stories. The Waltons was a classic.
ОтветитьLoved the waltons
ОтветитьAre there any blueprints for the Waltons house?
ОтветитьI think Mary Ellen was my favorite character!
ОтветитьThis is one show I could not stand! I cringed every time I heard the theme song in the other room, which meant it was time for me to leave the house until my folks got done watching it. It was just boring to me.
ОтветитьJudy, thanks for this. Very insightful and informative. What a classic piece of Americana ‘The Walton’s’ was (and is).
Ответитьwhy couldn't they build the whole house 🏡?? to save time,& save you actors to go to another part of the, studio to act,in another building?!! ✝️👑😇🙏💒😁
ОтветитьMy MOST FAVORITE show was the Walton’s! I was only 12-13 and I Loved this show❤️
ОтветитьI can't get over how Judy looks so much like TV/cartoon voice actress Pamlyn Ferdin. Oh well, love ❤️ the Waltons as much as Pamlyn's TV and cartoon VO credits (the voice of Fern on Charlotte's Web, which series creator Earl Hamner also had his hand in, the voice of Precocia on Hanna-Barbera's the Roman Holidays, and a guest appearance on Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, just to name a few) 😉👌
ОтветитьWhy not just film in a real vintage home? Not practical I assume.
ОтветитьVery interesting,
Thank you for taking the time and effort to share with us.
You guys made such an extremely valuable and high quality family series that can be enjoyed for an entire life. Your shows can be watched over and over again. Thank you so much!!! The don't make anything even a 1/10th as good as The Waltons now a days.
ОтветитьThanks, Judy! That was interesting and fun. Do you know if the house facade was created for the Walton's? If not, was it used in other TV shows or motion pictures?
ОтветитьSo cool! Thanks for sharing! 😊
ОтветитьMy dream home would look like the Walton home but it would be real of course!
ОтветитьThe door behind the stove was the entrance to Hollywood Blvd, or so I was told.
ОтветитьWatched with my Dad in a tiny town in northern Canada. He relived his childhood watching, I could see it in his eyes as he smiled. ❤
ОтветитьI grew up watching the Walton's I still watch it so many years later
ОтветитьLoved the program great memories 👏👏👏👍💖💖👀👂
ОтветитьYou were my favorite on the show. What a natural talent you have. I wish you would consider acting again.
ОтветитьI remember my father watching the Waltons when I was a kid. I would hear the opening theme music and roll my eyes lol. Dad tried to get me to watch with him but I had no interest. Now, as an older and not much wiser adult, I have been watching it on Amazon and regretting not spending the time with him. It is such a great show and it reinforced the values that my parents raised us with.
Now, when I hear the opening music, I for a brief moment, envision going back to my childhood and feel closer to my dad. Thank you for sharing!
I loved watching the waltons in the 1970s , thanks for showing us this house where the show was filmed ,say goodnight John boy ! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьYou’re still very beautiful!
ОтветитьI stil would love to build that Walton house as a real liveable house. The exterior was a great looking house. Interior layout was great as well
ОтветитьJudy is very prolific on how she describes everything. She has a lovely way of telling about the series.
ОтветитьDo we really need to know this…I love the thought of the true meaning of the Waltons…don’t disillusion us
