Sea Foam Trans-Tune: How to use on Nissan CVT Transmissions!

Welcome to the Trick Shift Garage! In this video, we will be performing a Sea Foam Trans Tune on our 2007 Nissan Altima with a CVT Transmission. Sea Foam is safe to use on our CVT transmissions. You can buy these at pretty much any auto part stores (AutoZone, Advance Auto, Pep Boys, O'Reilly, Napa, etc.), as well as Walmart or Amazon. The first thing you have to do is basically pour the whole bottle into your transmission filler tube. Next, drive it for 100 miles to ensure that the Sea Foam thoroughly cleans our and conditions your transmission from any build up or sludge. Now the next part involves what type of transmission pan you have, if you have a drain plug like mine, it's as simple as loosening the plug, and letting it completely drain into a drain pain. Re-install the drain plug to 25 ft-lbs (~34 NM) of torque. Then, just pour your new transmission fluid, I used 6 quarts in my case, but yours could vary. Lastly, you can add another can of Sea Foam Trans Tune to help condition the fluid to provide ongoing protection for your CVT transmission.

NOTE: Make sure you check your fluid level after adding all fluids, if you are low on fluid, add 1/2 quart at a time and check each time until at the full mark. Thanks for watching!
