NOOOO where is the grey comment????!?! we must get all the information available to stop the alien invasion
ОтветитьI was listening until he talked about 0-60 times. This is the case with almost every single car. I'll get to the destination 20 seconds later, but I know I'll have the bigger smile

Ответитьdude this review is quality, your gonna smash it on top gear
ОтветитьDude wtf is wrong with you....why did you only make this 8 minutes long? You are a fantastic reviewer pal, instantly subscribed!
ОтветитьI heard these cars have horrible reliability
ОтветитьAnd it's in legendary green jaguar too!!
ОтветитьI just subbed!
ОтветитьI love ya, Rory, but whether or not the manual gearbox is just right, I'd still prefer it over the auto any day. Plus, I'm not willing to concede that a 5 second 0-60 is slow. It's not! Not sure why you stated 5.5 seconds, as most reviewers have tested this car below 5 seconds to 60, with manual. In any case, every car doesn't need to be supercar fast and most drivers can't handle that level of performance anyway, no matter what they think of themselves. We've gotten a bit nutty when it comes to horsepower and speed these days. I think 380HP, a 6 speed manual, RWD, and a 5 second sprint is the recipe for a perfect pleasure driver's car.
ОтветитьGreat video, made me smile as I remembered what it's like to drive manual.
ОтветитьI was about 5 seconds from disliking and clicking off the video until the music changed, hahah. Great video man.
Ответитьbad boys joke too old
Ответитьi just brought the '17 version home this week -- and it's ALL you say it is. LOVE it!
Ответитьf type s manual is a 1911 in a world of glocks
yes it is inefficient
yes it is hard to operate
in every practical sense a glock 19 is vastly superior
give me a colt govt every time
Stick or no stick ? I've driven stick on & off for 30 years. But with paddle-shifters, I have to wonder WHY a stick still has such a big part to play.
Being in the US, I can jump on the freeway and drive 1,000 miles in a day. But I really don't want to have a stick for that, or the 40 miles city commute in the mornings. So why do I need an F-type at all - for FUN. For my afternoon commute, for my weekend playing and for when the laid-back attitude is replaced by the red mist.
I also remember getting stuck in freeway tailbacks in a Corvette with a stick - 90 minutes stop & go with 400 hp. Horrific.
So if you want a stick, you go right ahead. It's an equally valid choice. But I think I reached the time when I can be equally happy with paddle-shifters..........unless I do buy a 2017 Chevvy ZL1 with 650 HP and the option of a 10-speed auto or 6-speed stick. In which case I'd get the stick.
😂😂😂 "The balls, dragging."
ОтветитьNailed it in your reasoning, which is why I would choose the 911r and why I loved my day in a 4.7 V8 Vantage manual. Manual any day on the road!
ОтветитьHad my British Racing Green V6S Manual FType a year now, still smiling whenever I drive the car! It's how the car makes you feel, not the numbers! Jaguar's unsung hero!
Ответитьawkward
ОтветитьGood info.
Ill have the manual thank you very much 😃❗️
Screw 0-60 times, screw fuel efficiency. Manual gear boxes are about involvement, and that's what the F-Type is all about!
ОтветитьNo, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT (N430) in manual is much better.
ОтветитьRory, your'e an Idiot !! get out of the car review business !!!
Ответить😂🤳🏿
ОтветитьGreat review. Facts, intelligence, emotions and reflections in a well made production.
ОтветитьBest review of the best car!!!
ОтветитьIt's nice to see a review that is downright honest. I think for anyone looking to buy a manual, it is likely more about just the fun of shifting gears the old fashioned way. As opposed to performance.
ОтветитьBrilliant review mate... I absolutely love these long nose designs .. I had a 73’ 240 and that was arguably the sexiest car I ever owned.
ОтветитьGreat job on this video Rory!!!
ОтветитьI just bought a 2012 xkr convertible and i couldn't be happier
ОтветитьI’d want the Manual .. not to many worries with a manual tranny change the clutch get back on the road
ОтветитьI remember watching this video years ago without any ads..
Ответить“ Bell End “
ОтветитьI have a manual V6S convertible and had it remapped so much fun ,just listening to that exhaust, I don't care about fuel or times it's fun.
ОтветитьAnyone that says the V8 is too powerful shouldn't be allowed to drive in the road because they're just terrible drivers.
ОтветитьAbsolute tosh! The manual F-type is a proper drivers car. A really engaging drive. The gear selection is quick and accurate. The box feels bulletproof. Who cares if it's half a second slower 0-60 than the auto! The sound alone from the sports exhaust is enough to put off any "boy racer" at a set of lights! Plus, manuals tend to be a bit cheaper to buy preowned, have lower mileage and are less likely to have been thrashed within an inch of their lives!
ОтветитьANY manual box will be slower than flappy paddles or even any auto. If you're focus is purely 0-60 than make that your consideration but honestly - are you really buying a jag for 0-60 performance in a straight line? How often is that important?
ОтветитьI just cant take his reviews seriously....he seems to much of a amateur. That is why there are hardly any manual ones about....
ОтветитьDisappointed that Rory believes the mpg numbers....in the real world the auto will use more fuel and in gear acceleration will be the same or better in the manual. As for having to heel and for, Yes of course it's better.
ОтветитьSo should I buy an f type with a manual?
ОтветитьYou can talk about efficiency and a bit of extra acceleration with an automatic transmission but for me the stick shift is what I want. Other reviewers have lauded the manual transmission in this car so perhaps this reviewer has it wrong. Lately Jaguar has said they will be swallowing the electric car poison pill, to me that signifies the death of Jaguar. Sure, they will be faster, quieter, but they will have lost their soul. My daily driver is a 2016 Mazda MX-5/Miata, lately I've been looking at these V6 manual cars, convertibles. I see similar design cues in both of these, the Jaguar seems like a grown up Miata, there could be one in my future.
OK, at the halfway point in the video he comes right, I was too quick to make a judgement.
I would like a stripped down version of this car, much less luxury, less weight, more of a driver's car, more like a Miata, more like the original XK-E.
You've got to drive mine ,youll have face ache on face ache, jayemmoncars is doing content on it soon.
Ответить"Kinda like the balls, just dragin' along" LMAO
ОтветитьReally good review mate. First tiem posting on any car reviews
Ответить“It’s like an enormous penis, and you and the passenger are the balls.” What mate?!? 😂
ОтветитьAs a manual purist and after 15 months owning and daily driving a V6 manual transmission RWD on the twisties, this is the best value for money package! It's got everything, sound, fun, looks and engagement! The valuation on mine went up 7% in the last 12 months. They're super rare, that's why. Only 188 in the UK.
