moscovy never existed as a state/country, learn history before making your shit video, you will never find any document where it will say "moscovy" as a state, it always was russia/rus, and name Russia you can find even before petr 1 in documents, it took me 3 mins of your pathetic parallel world history to realize that you're brainwashed

one doesn't have to be a genius to know what is coming next. Putin will annex it because of its economic significance, but thr annexation is under preparation through propaganda, undermining of Belarus opposition and viable successor strongmen who could succeed Lukashenko due to his age, extracting resources for friendly prices, keeping the population in check and to
not put too much strain on China's patience. Lukashenko knows that it is happening and is collaborating with Putin. Belarus remaining independent and
not
being willing to send its army into Ukraine is all a big drama play: Belarus doesnt have much army and its people are needed as source of exonomic power for russia. Belarus will be annexed in the next few years, this is as certain as the amen in the church.

Western mapmakers had a habit of ending country names in “ia” so Rus' became Russia or Ruthenia in Latin script, and Rossia in Greek. And the term Rusyn was Latinized as Ruthenian. Russia = Ruthenia

Belarus is in a sorry state. As far as Slavic nations go, it's probably the lowest on the totem pole:

Belarus has lost its sovereignty under Lukashenko (who in turn answers to Putin) and will lose its culture and independence as well unless something unexpected happens.

Despite all of this -- despite being used as a platform for attacks against Ukraine and the EU -- Belarusians hold on to one principle:

They will not pick up arms and start killing their brothers.

You may say that that's not much, and I would agree, but it is too much to ask from Russians who are still volunteering to commit atrocities in Ukraine.

Hopefully Belarus can remain on friendly terms with Russia and keep its independence. They would be wise and well advised to keep western NGO's out and to keep western expansion of NATO aggression out of their sovereign territory.

As something of a lifelong European history buff, I have always considered Belarus a fragment of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Along with Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, several of these in the area. In fact it was about the dead center of it in the 1600s. Some may disagree lol but hey its my party.

Belarus is historical part of Russia. It was detached only because of disasters of 20 century, especially in 90s. It will be reunited with Russia in near future. Even now Belarus and Russian Federation are in Union state. Border is not controlled. Citizens of Belarus can cross Russian border with no visa or border checks. live in Russia, work in Russia with no any obstacles. Goods and commodities can cross borders with no restrictions or fees. Russian is native language for all citizens of Belarus. Belarus appeared in late medieval times because it was temporarily occupied by Lithuanian and lately by Polish-Lithuanian state. Similar things happened to Ukraine.

Please, stop the bullshit about the "Kievan Rus". The only state that become after the Ruthenia - (Correct name of "Kievan Rus") , is a Kingdom of Ruthenia, ruled by the Danylo Romanovych, he was even crowned by The Pope. The Muscovy was just a far territory of the Ruthenia, that have been colonised by the Golden Horde.

You even did not mention the protests of 2020 and the fact that Belarus has a government in exile, while Lukashenko is considered as an usurper. Many people fled the country, many are imprisoned in de facto concentration camps.
What we have now is Belo-Russia not real Belarus - all symbols of real Belarus are banned (flag, anthem , coat of arms), Belarusian language is in serious decline and the "government" does not resist Russification and even de facto encourages it. Should Russia not be defeated in Ukraine, Belarus will de facto become part of Russia (become completely undistinguishable from Russia) even if it still has some signs of sovereignty.
By 2030 Russia plans to completely culturally assimilate Belarus.

He was offered $940 million in the form of ‘Cονιd Relief Aid’ in return he must impose an ‘extreme’ lockdown, tight curfews and enforce a police state and the wearing of facemasks and an economic crash.
He told them to shove the money up their a$$eς 😂

As a resident of Belarus, I can say that there are several reasons:
1. The people of Belarus will not support this, despite the "brotherly" attitude, something "extraordinary" must happen for Belarus to lose its sovereignty. The only way is a military conflict, but the Russians will not go for it because of geopolitics, and, strangely enough, because of their own people, who will not support such aggression.
2. Lukashenko is the sole ruler and does not want to share. He runs the country himself, and, ironically, he really tries to protect the interests of Belarusians in the international political arena and play independent.
3. This is not beneficial for Russia. Belarus has nothing "super valuable" to try to resolve this issue aggressively, especially since the Belarusian army, despite criticism from Western propaganda, is not so weak, given the size of the country and universal military service (800> tanks, 1000> ifvs, 350> artillery pieces, hundreds of missile systems, air defense and about a hundred aircraft and helicopters).
4. Russia is quite satisfied with an independent, but allied buffer state, capable of being a mediator for interaction with the West and evading sanctions. Moreover, in recent years, the connection between Moscow and Minsk has strengthened due to sanctions and the war in Ukraine.
