Why did Canon make the EOS R3??

I guess the question is, if you're shooting 30fps why not use video and just print a video frame? What's the difference?

Im actually looking forward to getting the R3 for my portrait work. Especially when working with inexperienced models/clients, having 30fps would be great to capture the beautiful expression we sometimes still miss at 10fps. While higher MP R5’s are appealing gaining an entire stop of light with the r3 can be really valuable in real world situations.

They should make a mini Pelican case with a hole in it that can hold the camera and lens on a drone so that if it crashes nothing get damaged.

R5 isn’t great for video due to overheating and 30minutes recording limit. R3 can record up to 6hrs nonstop. It’s only 8K recording in R5 that’s the only difference otherwise R3 has it all

I was JUST saying my anxiety was crazy when the camera was on the drone and then it crashed!!! So scared for a second glad it’s okay sorry about the lens though in Australia the canon R3 is around $8000 so eight thousand dollars AUD
