Trying VEGAN MEAT from Amazon // Hotdogs, Scallops + More

Oh you're a new vegan! lol Loma Linda is the OG vegan meat substitute and has been around since before I was born. Grew up on them because my parents are vegan. They don't sell them in stores anymore. So happy to see that they're sold on amazon

I've tried most of it esp the hot dog and so good. I loved it. There is a grocery in my state who carry those products.

The Burger is good for Sloppy Joe's with Manwich sauce.

Big Franks are good hotdogs. Skallops are good in Asian-style stir fries.

The hot dogs contain propylene glycol, which is an additive to antifreeze. While it is considered generally at a safe level in food, concern still arises with the ingestion of it.

Loma Linda has been around for a long time. Back in the 1970's we had to make our own tofu dogs out of tofu ourselves. I think it was late 70's, maybe 80's when Loma Linda appears in stores here in CT. Our local health food store still carries them to this day. They are very good.

Sarah, i think Loma Linda brand also makes a deli meat for sandwiches. It sorta looks like bologna, which may or may not turn you off, but I've always loved it. A nuttty bread, mayo, tomatoes slices and avocado....slirp.

I'm a meat eater now but was raised as a Seventh Day Adventist and ate a lot of those Loma Linda hotdogs. Love them.

I’m gonna check these out. I’ve been trying to go vegetarian but I just can’t find the strength to stop eating chicken and seafood. I think if I can find a good substitute I will be able to do it. Any other affordable brands you suggest? I would use these mostly on the days I’m too tired to cook after work or am in a hurry.

Also, what I like about canned stuff is that you can keep a selection for those 'last minute' plans that don't allow for shopping. I don't have a lot of success with frozen goods because I forget they are in freezer and generally have freezer burn by the time I think of them.

Well to me it defeat being vegan if it's out of the can meaning it's been process which go against being vegan don't it?..I was vegan for 6 yrs that was a long time ago ,(10 yrs ago) and stuff vegan back then was not healthy like now

Sorry, but all that fake 'food' looks and sounds disgusting!! What kind of world are we living in where people have to eat fake meat, which has been produced in a lab and as far removed from nature as possible?!! Ever heard of Soylent Green?? Do you really know what these fake foods are made from???? I would much rather go to an organic farm where the animals are fed an all natural diet (And treated well) and eat the real thing, as mother nature intended, than this man made toxic crap!!!

When I used to buy the can burger I would open the top then poke a hole in the bottom & turn it upside down so the meat would release and come out whole like a loaf. Then I would slice into 6 or so burgers. I would fry each patty with a little crisp which wasn't too bad. Didn't taste like a real burger but I liked it for something different. I've made a long grocery list this morning cause of some of your taste test. Thanks, you're awesome.

Ty for doing this. My husband and I are going to be traveling in our RV almost fulltime next year and looking for good vegan options to store when we can’t find locally at the places we travel. Based on your video and final recommendations, I will order some of each of the three. I really appreciate you taking the time and saving us $.
