I just came across this video. Thanks for sharing and being so honest. I purchased a few luxury bags on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries etc.. Few and far between, but when my mom passed 3 years ago, I really started purchasing luxury handbags frequently. My husband is retired, and I work full time. Our bills are paid, our boys attend local CUNY college. I too felt that life is too short, and tomorrow is not promised so I gave myself permission to spend on luxury items. I was saving money consistently, but I wasn't sure for what, lol. I understand that we need to save for the "future", but I just realized that the future is NOW. I'm 55 next month so I'm in my "future". Do we wait until we are 65 or 75 to splurge when we may not feel well or be healthy enough to enjoy them? So that's my story.
