Middle-Earth SBG. That's what I care about
ОтветитьGW makes Horrible games. noone is right untill 4 or 5 F&Q documents after ...
ОтветитьI have absolutely zero interest in Warhammer and merely tolerate it as a means to learn about painting techniques.
ОтветитьI found your channel via a YT suggestion. I haven't painted a mini since 1993 and am just getting back into the hobby. I wondered how to find non-wh content (WH: Fantasy Role Play was the only GW game I ever played - so it is only tangentially related to my interests). Thank you for the suggestions in this video, it gives me a lot of different content creators to check out!
Ответитьwas just talking about this with a friend. seeing space marines activates my fight or flight response 😂
ОтветитьSo, the company that has easily brought the vast majority of the ppl currently watchung your cudeos is bad? M'kay
ОтветитьThe problem is not WarHammer, is the Fucking Space marines, those are the ones that are everywhere
ОтветитьI definitely love me some GW hate. As I mature in my model painting hobby I am significantly more picky with the content I consume. If I consume hobby related content it is from an artist I really like like Angel Giraldez or Sergio Calvo. Otherwise I'm listening to Joe Rogan or Jocko Wilink
ОтветитьJust make videos on what you want if it’s that important. Choosing to do this for revenue is a CHOICE.
ОтветитьThis makes sense I've tried to find tutorials for painting malifaux or Bushido but it's all Warhammer. Warmachine is a little easier but it's all done with GW products
Ответитьwell considering it's a gaming company and has got massively popular in more recent years
ОтветитьThank you!! I have often thought the same thing. I search out more videos that address board game miniatures, because that is my interest. There are so few. I'm not a DnD or Warhammer player, but I love my BG minis and have been wanting to get the courage to paint them. I love classical painting techniques and wonder if you ever use chiaroscuro from an up-light source? All of the light sources from the videos I've watched seem to be from above or at a 45-degree angle at most. What would you think about a stark uplight on your Horsemen minis? Am I off-base? Thank you for your content!
ОтветитьThe GW brushes are complete crap
ОтветитьPlease do more other models :) I love Legion, Malifaux and D&D painting I search minature painting rather then warhammer when I search for creators.
ОтветитьI sooo wish there were more channels dedicated DnD mini painting. Watching the same damn model get painting on every channel boring.
ОтветитьYES! Thank you... Soooo tired of wallet hammer and wallet hammer clones. Puhhhhhlease for the love of gaming quit kicking that dead horse. Do something original and do it at 1/2 the price of thousand $$$ miniatures made of plastic. C'mon can't preach go green while dumping a billion tons of plastic on the market. Its way past time for a change the biggest of wich needs to be GW and WoC disappearing from earth. Greedy b@$+@rd$.
ОтветитьIt drives me nuts I type in to a how to paint a certin brand of model with say reaper or p3c paint and all I get is Ges workshop and Citadle paint when I don't even use those brands
ОтветитьCurrently painting my dnd character that I 3d printed 🥰
ОтветитьSo don’t make warhammer content lol. Your riding the coat tails instead of just building up the right bubble for yourself. Sounding kinda woke 🤣. Good content for the most part
ОтветитьInterestomg video.
ОтветитьThis is what I like about your channel and why I'm subscribed. You produced painting tutorial videos that I can follow, you feature a range of models that showcase different creators, and you have intelligent discussion about issues facing the community (and proposed action). The tone is supportive, positive, and educative, and I'm sorry you need to 'play the game' for the algorithms (although I completely understand). Finding tutorials for non-GW models is challenging (I mean good production quality with an articulate host who knows how to instruct), so please keep creating. As far as I'm concerned, you're not only filling a niche - you are completely owning it.
ОтветитьI'm old enough to remember a time when GW had actual competitors and it irks me when people refer to miniature painting and/or wargaming as "the Warhammer hobby". My entry to was Warzone and I was only vaguely aware of WFRP and Wh40k until Dawn of War came out. I'm glad that the landscape is changing again, there are more games than ever and even classics like Battletech, Warzone and Chronopia have returned from the undeath!
ОтветитьThis is about your idea of a "successful" video. If it is about you making money then that is just how marketing works. I have never touched a GW mini in my 15+ years of mini painting. I have watched your videos because you paint so much different than I do and I am trying new things.
ОтветитьThanks for this video. I’m not a D&D guy or a Warhammer guy. I don’t know what the hell they’re talking about. I subscribed to your channel, Vince V, Ninjon, and others because you’re all brilliant at painting figures and willing to share your thoughts and knowledge. If you’re new at this like me the learning curve is a bitch. I’ve also expanded my interest, thanks to you. Some of the figures you’ve done and the companies products you shown us I would never have known about without you. I know how hard you work to bring us content and I’m grateful. And I love your cats.
ОтветитьI just want more people to get into AOS, 40K is overly saturated and getting a bit boring
ОтветитьKeep painting different non-games workshop figures, because I'm here for the painting and cool sculpts.
ОтветитьAlso I like how you painted death, I'm just not a fand of the horse sculpt.
ОтветитьThere is only one type of a mindset that is able to view wh40k universe as something ugly, tedious, not very interesting etc. A Genestealer cultist (a whole congregation in this case). Stop this heresy or Ordo Xenos will learn about your activity... (don't play war games at all - isn't that just spitting on your country and disrespecting the Bible?) But seriously - let's try to understand each others passion.🎲
Ответитьthanks for this video, i had more time painting mini than play and mainly non gw stuff, with the rise of contrast and speedpaint, it's easier to have good looking minis without expertise or time, so paint more stuff! and it's still possible to improve after a speed painted "base", will look the content you recommend
ОтветитьGames Workshop doesn't make good games. They just make excessively detailed miniatures.
I haven't played any of their games since 2009. I hate them.
i love watching miniature painters!... i have never watched a Warhammer video. i know nothing of it nor plan on watching it. i like watching other models, dnd..or custom action figures being painted. i learned techniques and different paints to use for my doll customizing
ОтветитьI've been hearing forms of "Games Worship is ruining the ... hobby" since the 80s. If you wanted to find a game that anyone near you played or a physical shop that sold any models or a company that even stayed in business for any length of time it's usually ended up being GW for most of that time and for so long their models were the only consistently good ones (even if they were always expensive). There's an argument to say they're the only company that really kept any of it going (certainly in the UK) through the doldrums in the 90s, when even TSR was failing, but the business practices and the attitude they employ have rankled for most of forty years. It's frustrating that, when there are so many great alternatives nowadays, "Warhammer" is still so unavoidably pervasive.
Personally, I like your instructive and equipment review videos best.
(Slight irony to mentioning D&D twice without nodding to any other RPGs though...)
I do love Warhammer, but I also watch all kinds of painting/modeling/terrain content. I watch train people like Luke Towan and Kathy Millat, D&D creators like RP Archive and Wyloch, and many more. There's a lot of great content out there that's not Warhammer related, but the techniques can be applied to anything... :)
ОтветитьThis is exactly the video I needed. I am just discovering the art of miniature painting and I've been lamenting the ubiquity of Warhammer and wargaming as a whole, which I'm not really interested in. Love the exposure of different niches within the mini painting domain.
ОтветитьKhme,khme,khme i I don't do WH I won't be popular...
ОтветитьI agree! I've been doing miniatures from Tainted Grail and Lobotomy and finding content on those is so challenging!
ОтветитьI am new to tabletop miniatures and wargaming. I watch a lot of videos on various topics related to it. I especially love tutorials, and I've been watching and commenting on a lot of them. So far, I play OPR fantasy skirmish and mini gangs, and I got to this video starting out looking for info on OPR fantasy regiments. Warhammer's too expensive and intricate for my tastes, though I do like their lore and watch a fair number of lore videos too.
Ответитьthe lore of 40k is unmatched, and some of the primarchs are some of the best written characters in the Sci-fi genre, so it just feels nice to be painting and playing these characters.
