FIRST!
ОтветитьDoesn't Palanga also have it's own airport. I swear i saw it in a video or map somewhere once
ОтветитьI think Lithuanian beach towns Palanga and Šventoji are pretty crowded. Nida is calmer, but extremely expensive. Latvia has the calmest beaches and they also have a lot more of them and it's still affordable.
ОтветитьPalanga does not have a train station but Klaipeda does and you can just take a bus to Palanga from Klaipeda
ОтветитьI was born in and grew up in the States but used to go to Palanga as a kid pretty much every summer in the early/mid 2000s. It looks a lot more modern now! You should go to Nida next - it's a quieter and more upscale version of Palanga :) If you like cycling the bike ride from Nida to Klaipeda is awesome (~45km)
ОтветитьAs some commenters have noted, Palanga has a bus station and an international airport, but it doesn't have a train station. As far as I know, the airport only has a few destinations and they're all international (so no flights from Kaunas or Vilnius).
Another transportation option, as someone mentioned, is to take a train to Klaipeda and take a bus from there to Palanga.
Congrats on 1K subs Lithuania Explained! I have been a fan hoping to visit Lithuania in the upcoming years and I was hoping that you could to a Lithuania accessibility travel guide that shows how to get to Lithuania from the other Baltics, and the rest of Europe, have a good day, and once again, congrats on 1K.
ОтветитьYeah, can you do a video of Nida?
ОтветитьSo beautiful, we loved it when we stopped by recently!
ОтветитьGreat video! Makes me want to visit Palanga when I'm in Lithuania.
ОтветитьGreat video, v informational..... Hope we can be there one day ?
ОтветитьAny video on public transport in Klaipeda? Visiting in 5 days. Thanks
ОтветитьI was born in Kretinga, just 10kilometers from Palanga. Seeing my 2nd home city growing so fast is amazing. Still remember those young days going with my parents for the casual evening walk to there😍 and parking problems you can fix very eassily, park your car in Kretinga and go to Palanga by bus. Bus ticket costs less than 1€ and trip takes about 20minutes
Ответитьjust here in Palanga, nice place
ОтветитьI'm Lithuanian, I love Lithuania, but Palanga is one of those things that I would not recommend any foreigner to visit, with the exception if you are bald and bankrupt and would like to travel 20 years back in time ... but if you really love the sea, when I would recommend either smaller seaside cities as Smiltynė, or Nida or drive extra few hundred kilos to Latvia as they have ten's of of seaside towns with way better aura to it ...
ОтветитьI remember visiting Palanga a lot as a kid. Once again my mom took me there.
We took the bus from Klaipėda to Palanga, where I have to note that the bus we used, you surely had to be on time, because it was very small and couldn't take many passengers. It also just came every half an hour and until a certain time so if you wouldn't get a seat but wanted to get back you might be stuck there. Though again I was a kid so maybe there were other ways to get back.
In Palanga we always took a long walk though and as stated it is really beautiful and I loved the sea. I remember noticing once how people were looking around near the beach and asked my mom confused what they are doing until I learned that they were looking for amber what was another cool thing I learned that day. All in all it surely was a nice experience
Lithuania has very little of its own seacoast, and even the beaches they have are shrinking.
ОтветитьWhat is this town like to visit in October and is it safe to visit now the country is under state of emergency?
ОтветитьAh, Palanga!... my most favourite place in Lithuania and it brings back great memories. 👍🤗❤️ I was first introduced to it in February 2017 by my Lithuanian ex-girlfriend, and I love going back to it whenever I can. The Amber Museum and the Botanical Gardens are my favourite. ❤️ The journey to it from Vilnius was a killer though.
Greetings from an Irish man in Ireland! (Airija). 👋😊

ОтветитьWonderful place!
ОтветитьI watched this presentation about one month ago. Finally, two weeks ago I was in Curonian Spit, Klaipeda, and Palanga. Spot on. Enjoyed your presentation here. Well done.
ОтветитьPalanga airport?
ОтветитьNicely shot and narrated video! Nice channel as well👍💬🔔
ОтветитьMy first time to Lithuania was 2016. We stayed in Kaunas, and we were there 25 days to visit my girlfriends family. Fortunately, I was able to visit Klaipeda, Nerringa, Palanga, and of course Vilnius. The country of Lithuania is so beautiful it has definitely left a mark on my soul.
In two weeks we're going back for another 25 days, which will be my 4th time in Lithuania, I can't wait.
I enjoy your channel, keep it up!
