POPCORN ADVENTURES EP1: Galaxy Quest

Recent changes to the In Search of Adventure Show have meant we took out the Popcorn Adventures segment where Hayley & Peita review a movie, looking for adventures it might inspire each of us to add to out lists, and rating the lead character as a Finance Action Hero.

While we are happy with the revised structure of the podcast, we got feedback from you that you actually enjoyed our movie chats AND wanted to see us as well as hear us, so this new video series is our attempt at giving you cool kids what you want ;)

This is the first episode in our Popcorn Adventures series, where we look to fictional action heroes in movies to see if they inspire any dreams we may have forgotten to add to our list, and we’ll debate whether they in fact measure up as Action Heroes at all.

This episode's movie for discussion is Galaxy Quest - released in 1999 with a whimper rather than a bang, it has since become something of a cult classic, and a particular favourite of the sci fi genre crowd. Watch Hayley & Peita chat about the movie, the cast within a cast within the movie, how being an action hero is more important than just looking like one and the fact that Peita may be kicked out of SciFi Movie Fanclub as she hasn't seen any movies in the Alien franchise.
