I've argued with Mormons all day. I have to ask if you know or understand what being a Christian is. With respect. The only similarities between a real Christian and a real Mormon is the story of a guy named Jesus that died on a cross. That's it. The church is an abomination. You guys seem regular but I feel I can see a hollowness in you. I wish you would watch Christian testimony. You tube.

The Mormon church is very powerful. I grew up in Wyoming, three hours away from SLC. I wasn't raised Mormon but most people in town were Mormon. I didn't realize how Mormon centric upbringing was until I became an adult. I acknowledge that part of it is that my Dad was raised Catholic by his grandparents, and then when his parents had more kids, was taken back to live with his parents and made to be Mormon. My Mom grew up very poor, she considered herself a Baptist but, her mother had become Mormon to help her feed her children. So, my mother also had ties to the Mormon church and had likely attended it. I have never been to a Mormon church except for two funerals.

Sounds so interesting! I'm gonna watch that one. You are doing awesome work. I didn't get free from the church completely until my 40s. It is one of the hardest things to achieve in life when it's steeped into your brain and your extended family. Even questioning it feels so wrong.

I think my college education in science, and learning The Scientific Method, is what gave me an opening in the forcefield. Logic and reason were the only way out. But I didn't know that then. I was just drawn to questions and i finally gave myself permission to ask them.

Being told not to question them our whole lives is the definition of a cult. They don't like that word, but when they're telling people a) not to investigate anything they say because it puts you in Satan's power, or b) to 'doubt your doubts,' or c) you'll lose your family forever if you don't obey every word they say, they're in the cult business.

It if very difficult to be the first in 200+ years to change family religious belief and tradition. Glad you two are there to love and support each other. I’m out my husband in and our relationship is stronger than it’s ever been. It’s always nice when you’re both in or out but a relationship build on respect and love can work either way.

My (now) ex- is a staunch, inflexible Mormon, and because I could no longer maintain a facade of belief, we ended up divorced. As much as I requested joint custody, here in Utah at that time, it was only possible if the wife agrees —which she did not. Even worse, she thwarted my visitation so that my children grew up convinced that I had been taken over by Satan. To this day, even though we now stay in touch, I sense that many of them consider me something of a “wayward uncle” — but not their father.

Absolutely the truth every word of this. I lived in Heber Utah and it was a nightmare. My daughter lost custody of all of her children as a result of the summit county judge. The ex-husband was not even a Mormon and the county judge was extremely biased towards men and I always hated that state and this pretty much summarized why.

The bottom line is the Mormon church is a cult. I don't care what they want to say precept uses the Masonic rituals, everything that they did and still do is double faced and not to be trusted and in Utah especially but the Mormon church is a whole you are either mormon, non-mormon, Jack mormon, or some kind of Mormon the Mormon Church uses bribery while it tries to bring people in of everything from oh we'll come over and we'll help you move or will bring you food etc etc and will convince you that will protect you and you need to join the church. The idea that Jesus went to South America only after he rose from the dead just never fails to amaze me. To show you how the government and the court system is ruled by the church not only are 99% of these people in Utah Mormons that are running the government and the court systems but believe me, Sean so that are not active LDS members. About 20 years ago the church did not concentrate on the things that is concentrating on now to bring you in and then they shifted their whole strategy. The idea that Joseph Smith was a prophet is about as realistic me giving Donald Trump that credit. Actually I can see that happening. Keep fit right in. I am so glad that you started your channel and I'm hoping that it just grows and grows. In these kind of times people have got to know the real truth about this type of stuff so that they don't have the blinders put down I'm really start thinking is this for me. Utah in the Mormon church has drug problems and abuse problems that would make your hair fall out. But you don't hear much of that because it's all kept on the down low. It also has one of the highest rates of autism among its new babies from all the intermarriage.

A lot of people are leaving the church but I don’t see them spiritually improving, taking better care of themselves, loving god and Christ more , they just fall in to a gray area , to leave is very dangerous, god owns everything, what have you went to that is so much better than you already were,

This is wild! I never thought about what it might be like, to be a child, stuck in such opposing sides of the perception what's "good or evil". What a crazy dilemma to face and at a time in life that can be traumatic all on its own. That's gotta be one of the most traumatic divorces for a child and family to go through.
