Cool music on this one ...
ОтветитьThis is so funny I love it sry... if you a nut undone hit it wiv a hammer
ОтветитьBeware using cheap tools on high stress fastenings ie hex and torque bolts.
ОтветитьWow you are doing so well, Very impressed with your skills, keep it up.
ОтветитьSaffy Saffy Saffy! U Nutter!🤟😂
ОтветитьHi been subscribed for a while and enjoying all your videos, (I always start from the beginning when I find someone I like to watch so catching up in time) with so many comments helping you, all I have to say is what happened to your overalls half way through?? 😉 great videos keep them coming.
ОтветитьBEFORE TAKING THE WHEEL OFF:You can use the back brake to hold everything as you LOOSEN the large front sprocket and small rear sprocket fasteners.
ОтветитьNot sure if anyone else has suggested this, but please buy a torque wrench (or two) and use them. Hard to tell from here, but it looks like you're over-tightening a lot of the bolts, and that'll cause problems next time you come to undo them..
ОтветитьEveryone professional or diy mechanic has probably started off like you,the plus point is that it’s the only way you get to know your machine, live and learn by your mistakes that way it gets easier, you will find ways of making it easier as well, anyway a 👍for having a go,oh forgot to mention I do all my own maintenance 3 bikes another on the way,my car and the rest of the families, keep going and you’ll get there 🤗
ОтветитьThis was painful to watch. But fair play for having a go. It's so much easier if you have someone to guide you the first couple of times you do this kind of thing.
ОтветитьThe extraneous holes in the stand aren't extraneous. They are there to release any moisture which may get into the tube, either from humidity at the time of manufacture or otherwise. If the holes weren't present, the stand would rust from the inside out. Also, good job and kudos to you for tackling your own maintenance. Even if you take your bike to a shop from now on, at least you know you CAN do it if you so choose.
ОтветитьYou definitely should be proud of yourself. I remember doing my breaks on my car for the first time and when I asked my friend if I’m doing it right he made fun of me for not being able to do a simple job.
You have to start somewhere.
THE Big advantage of all this Is.... That YOU will KNOW your bike more, what it needs etc. Good luck.
ОтветитьYou're going to be a pro
ОтветитьOne of the things I did get right in life was a professional training as a machinery mechanic, combined with a master in mechanical engineering it saved me from most stupid things, but not from all of them ;-).
ОтветитьIf ye ride adventure bike ye have to be able to do basic road side mechanics.
ОтветитьOh I wish i had found you sooner Saffy I know you must be local to me I would have helped you with this, I'm the guy who gives maintenance classes, Curvy riders Club knows me,
but I know you did Ok in the end
😉🤗
wish seen this earlier. when ya pistons get stuck you can use a C clap to push them back in. works well.
ОтветитьTip: loosen off all bolts you're taking off while the bike is together, you'll thank me later 👍
Also, X ring is fine and considered better
Well done saffron the more work you do on your bike the easier it becomes I’m a master mechanic and I face challenges some days so keep servicing your bike and keep learning before you know it your be able to strip the engine down and rebuild it stay safe regards Dave.
ОтветитьBuy a torque wrench and always use it on your bolts nuts to stay safe.
Ответитьhi saffron. im a new subscriber. i find your videos entertaining. just like me doing DIYs on my motorcycle.
Destroy-It-Yourself
Your doing great .its always the same .when you do it for the frist time...😂😂 then after that you just do it so easy snd wonder what all the trouble was 😅😅
ОтветитьSaffy you did amazing, removing the front sprocket is not an easy job. I think just be careful when the bike is on a padlock stand like that, the bike can easily fall. Sometimes it's good to loosen and torque back down very tight bolts when it's off the stand as the bike will be more secure. You don't want that bike falling on you.
ОтветитьFantastic video! Your seamless blend of informative content and captivating visuals is truly commendable. Engaging from start to finish. Excited for more from your channel – keep up the great work
Ответитьnext time remove the bolts before you remove the tire , like in a car . Sweet mechanic ❤
ОтветитьOmg…I think I absolutely love you…what an absolute gem you are!!
ОтветитьDelboys Garage does great tutorials.
Ответить8.m hahaha.. yah maybe..👍
Ответить13.30m lol 😜
ОтветитьThe sprockets you replaced looked pretty good to me. Hire a mechanic. You don’t go from zero to hero in one day. You must walk before you run.
You have the skills necessary to maintain tire pressure, clean the bike, and possibly change the oil. But right now, you are breaking more stuff than you’re fixing and moving backwards.
I’m sorry people have lied to you your whole life.
When you need a doctor you pay for the KNOWLEDGE not only for the "parts" . Because when you were out drinking shots with your friends......... someone read BOOKS to be a doctor and save lives........... maintenance your ride is nice, but first you have to READ A LOT !!!!
Its dangerous for you ,and others , if you forgot to fix one screw right..........
Try to do easy thinks . oil change , chain brake or lamps. and let other stuff to mechanics.
Maybe I'm idiot , or crazy. but I just say , how I see your try....
Greetings from Santorini Island.
Like a girl who can use a spanner 😊
ОтветитьReally could do with someone showing you then doing it yourself while watching you
ОтветитьYou did great saffy trust me i know what you went through .
ОтветитьWatching you handling all those random issues popping up was like a comic relief that made you very human and relatable. I had another great time, thank you
ОтветитьLoving the videos Saffy they are excellent and very genuine. Quick tip for you when solo taking off a wheel and also refitting one, a garden shovel is very handy for putting under the rear wheel to manipulate it in to place on your own.
ОтветитьOf course you do your own bike maintenance , as long as you know what you are doing and have tools for it.... Did you by any chance use loctite ? Lose bolts on motorbike can really hurt you !
You definitely selected most expensive education , but you'll learn a lot .
PS . Mechanic wouldn't take more than 100 £ for the job - that takes couple hours .
Nice
ОтветитьYou have a century of Knowledge available to you. And you never learned or were taught to use hand tools? This is why it is So important to have a mother & father raising children. Both sexes teach their children different Life Skills That arevNeeded for life. Please ask someone to teach you. You Shouldn't risk your life. By screwing up a working ,safe motorcycle. You are Very brave to learn as you go. But NOT WITH YOUR LIFE!! KEEP LEARNING ever day. Keep trying to do it yourself. ! It only gets more Expensive. One day , it will click. The correct person will enter your life, and SAVE IT. BY TEACHING HOW TO USE YOUR TOOLS PROPERLY . Always keep the sockets, drives wrenches straight, level . Make sure you have the correct type & correct size.
ОтветитьGood on yer, Saffy. You learned a lot. Just keep going!
ОтветитьWell done Saffy, I love your enthusiasm and passion for jumping in and learning to get on with maintaining your own bike. you WILL be a better rider as a result.
ОтветитьI think I would rather bite the bullet and pay to have things like that done - my d.i.y. usually leaves me with spare parts! Well done you for doing it all - it's probably more than I would want to do.
ОтветитьBuy a Torque wrench and get a workshop manual. I am sure you can find knowledgeable people to help you learn as its not hard, you have done the hardest part by thinking I can do this
ОтветитьYou loosen the front sprocket first it's a simple job !!!
ОтветитьIf your changing the oil change the filter too
Ответить
