Khamzat absolutely mauls fluffy, he’s undersized and it’s not like he has amazing takedown defense

The lack of 10-8s boggles my mind. They changed the rules specifically to give more 10-8s then the judges refused to impliment the rule change. Plus the UFC failed to push for the implimentation of the new rules.

The biggest topic of discussion coming out of ufc 308 is by far khamzat he stole the show with this out of this world performance against a legend of 185.

Which is crazy cause max got koed for the first time but nope the biggest headline and topic of discussion for fans is khamzat destroying Robert, in a display of superhuman levels of strengths and brutality.

Even grappling and wrestling monsters yoel and jakare couldn't do that to Robert.

The only fight to make is khamzat vs ddp, biggest fight at 185 and the ufc knows how much of a star khamzat could become with a belt.

I remember 3 years ago when khamzat first came in the ufc and was the biggest hottest thing in the sport dana (on GQ sports) had said after ronda and conor if anyone can bring the sport to a new level and become this new Transcend super star its khamzat.... So already back then dana and ufc believed khamzat potential was massive.

Jed be salty over dana calling out and telling the media if they dont want him to put down francis then stop asking him about francis all the time. They instigating most of the drama, they ask francis about dana , then ask dana about francis response, then rinse and repeat.

When geathje hurt and dropped max he had a small window to land follow up shots to finish max but he didn't land anything and let max survives, tuporia didn't, he hurt max and his follow up shots landed and finished max, he capitalized on the small window of max being hurt and didn't let him recover.

If max had the replix of shooting take down to recover he could have survived, but that's one of his skills limitations.

Look at Rob font average durability but he never got finished because when he gets hurt he makes great decision of how to survive like shooting take downs or getting the clinch. Max never thought of doing that and payed.


Plus statistically max always had one of the worst defense stats in the ufc it's him and jiri, his chin always carried him in all of his fights, he gets hit a lot and big punchers too.

Love the show, but you guys suffer from recency bias. Islam is still the best pound per pound fighter and Poatan is the fighter of the year

Islam is still number 1 p4p, he Annihilated the two guys that defeated max multiple times volk and poirier.

He destroyed volk before tuporia and likely softened him.

In the past 10 months he head kicked volk in 2 minutes, and finished poirier in the submission of the year.

Tuporia was ranked 4th p4p before this fight so now he should probably ranked number 2 and jump over jones and alex.


And yes Islam was physically compromised in australia because of the 12 hours less to recover from the weight cut.

Jed with the perfect call. How in the world Ige didn’t get a 10-8 in round 1 is lunacy. Had a takedown, more damaging strikes on the feet, then almost finished the fight but it’s a 10-9? Insanity.

Not only should there be more 10-8 and 10-7 rounds, but the judges should also use every number from 1-10. If you only do half the damage, half the control, half the dominance, there is no reason you should get more than 5 points for the round.

Usually love the takes but feels like huge prisoner of the moment bias from Jed on the p4p discussion. Islam beats the number 1 pfp fighter twice in one year and doesn’t get fighter of the year. Now revisionist history frames it like it was just a featherweight so it counts less? And then turn around and cite that as the reason Ilia should be heralded as as the #1? Make it make sense.
