A really good and overlooked WW1 film i appreciate is called Beneath Hill 60. Came out in 2010. It's about Australian tunnel soldiers who spend most of their time underground trying to tunnel to the German lines to plant explosives. Its very good and detailed and claustrophobic. Just get past the scenes involving the love story which are flashbacks.

Turkish used American 1903s? And A3s to boot. I mean, I know Turkish Mausers are not something you can come up with readily but the prop people should have done a bit more research. The A3 was not produced until world war ii.

The scene in A Very Long Engagement is the Battle of the Somme, not Verdun.
The French fought at the Somme too, it wasn't a British battle.
Also I'm not 100% sure the scene in All Quiet on the Western Front is meant to be Verdun either.
