Great video - know what you mean about TS9 working loose, I check every few months and
push back in if they have worked loose and have also found a big difference as you said in weak signal areas with the roof mount aerial.
Great info, all the best, David 👍

Good summary. I have a dual sim router but only one sim in. I can't find a decent PAYG contact that I could use alongside my unlimited Giff Gaff deal. With one sim, will it use the 4 external antenna I have to boost the signal or only two of the 4? Something to note is the increased power consumption of the commercial routers. I've noticed a significant increase in power use over my old Huawei mifi model with an internal battery, and the commercial needs power to be always on to work.

Hi - love your channel and have followed your advice for the following: '3' 4G+ Router and a SMARTY Data only SIM. Having spent an hour with the SMARTY help desk I am no nearer getting the router to come online. The "Internet" and LTE lights remain stubbornly red. The help guy was trying to help me change the APN settings, but I cannot access the router dashboard to do it. Very frustrating. He told me to contact the manufacturer. When you did it on the video it was so fast!! What am I missing? Thanks! Mike

Thanks for all the info on mobile internet it’s been very useful. On a fibre glass conventional Motorhome do you think external aerials are important?

Many of the poynting antenna’s don’t seem to cover three’s and voda’s band 32 (1800mhz). I recall you liking both mimo 3 and smarty as a combo.. how often have you found band 32 an issue in the uk? (Before I buy either a puck 2 or mimo 3… thanks!

Great video. What about Starlink as an option for the future on a new campervan build?

HI, I have used your recommendations to setup my van router and antenna and they work really well. For data I use Smarty. I am about to change my phone and would like to use the EE network if possible, so that this will compliment the van system. Which of the operators using the EE network would you recommend as good value for money? EE looks more expensive than 3 in general so if I can't find a reasonable option will stay with Smarty for the phone as well. I am likely to go abroad next year and so a good policy for longer spells in Europe would be very helpful

Hi seen your video on the wifi in the van ,you had bought to have wifi in your van ,

I've recently bought a static caravan in a remote area which I've to run my power via a generator.

I have bought a cctv camera that needs a wifi constant wifi connection but when I'm home obvs there will be no power so is there a way that you would know to get power to keep that say a double / hotspot device running and charged , to provide constant wifi
