It's my first time visiting the Saloma Link Bridge in Kuala Lumpur and I must say it's absolutely beautiful!

The Saloma Link Bridge KL is located in between Lorong Raja Muda Musa 3 (Kampung Baru) and Jalan Saloma (KLCC-Ampang). This bridge took nearly 2 years to complete and was opened to the public in early February 2020.

The launch of the Saloma Bridge is an effort in promoting Malaysia's tourism. At the same time, the bridge has made it easier for locals to access these two places.

Before the bridge was completed, the walking time from Kampung Baru to KLCC will take about 30 minutes as they are separated by the AKLEH Highway and the Klang River. Now the journey is shortened to a 10-minute walk, thanks to the bridge.

Some facts about Saloma Link Bridge

1. The total distance of the Saloma Link Bridge is 370 meters, which include the 69 meters long covered walkway and is 4 meters wide. The total cost to build this bridge is RM31 million.

2. The unique design is inspired by the Malay tradition of 'Sirih Junjung' or betelnut leaf arrangement.

3. The height of this bridge is equivalent to a 4 storey building and is equipped with CCTVs and security alarms.

4. This pedestrian walkway is fully decorated with an LED lighting system that changes colours at all times, which highlights the uniqueness of this bridge at night.

5. Visitors can take pictures with KLCC in the background at two dedicated photo spaces provided.

6. The Saloma Link Bridge can accommodate up to 200 people at a time and the operating hours of the bridge is according to the operating hours of the LRT train station. This is to reduce the potential for vandalism of the bridge area.
