We Need to Discuss the New Apostolic Reformation Right Now: A Much Needed Conversation for the Times

Solid foundation and Biblically based compared to the NAR nonsense.....keep rolling them out. At some point I will recommend you cite specific examples from these so called prophets so people will see the deception. Some of our brethren that are followers are so much in the dark that they need specific examples to wake up. With the exception of two books, all the books in the NT warn about false teachers and false prophets (I stand to be corrected). Why do you think God's WORD spends so much time warning the believers? I came in with my 2nd husband in 2000 when the Nar took off like wild fire. I know it started in the Catholic church in the 60's my pastor mom was a Catholic and something was happening with speaking in "tongues" then she got saved and Catherine Kuhlman my pastor mom claimed that she got healed in one of her services which I believe in healing also, now when I came in it was just all about signs and wonders a lot of Word of Faith I couldn't say I am sick if I had a cold a headache or feeling a little depressed. It was always a demon in everything. I was so confused exhausting I would repeat in my head I am healed and healed I couldn't hear from God, but everyone could I felt I was not good enough because of my sins. Finally in 2012 after my husband died and he didn't get healed. I spiral out of control I knew I wasn't saved and I started to do my research and found channel like your anyway I finally started to study the truth Word of God and am free from the Nar Praise the Lord

Finally! Somebody GETS it. The charismatic wing of the Church doesn't just need a few bad leaders called out. The entire charismatic movement needs a serious reformation. Fraud, spiritual and physical abuse, bad doctrine, covering theology, authoritarianism, extreme prosperity gospel (modern day indulgences). Reminds me of the Roman Catholic church of Martin Luther's day.

There is such flawed thinking and understanding of scripture within the NAR. The emphasis on dominion and the authority of 'apostles' and 'prophets' as the government of the church are troubling. And the thought that we have a mandate to bring the kingdom of Heaven to the Earth seems to assume a greater authority than what has been given. The Word is clear that we are instructed to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to all the Earth. Jesus will bring His kingdom.

So much can be disputed within this camp, but one of the biggest issues seems to be zero accountability for leaders. Dangerous teaching and many moral failures have demonstrated and revealed major issues. Lots of control and abuse in operation.

We left MS and are working/praying to break off every unclean thing and distance ourselves from their leadership. We still have many friends that still attend, but in general it was never about the members, rather all about the leadership there.

I believe in the gift of prophecy but not in the false doctrine of Divination. Test every spirit whether it be of God or a counterfeit word from another spirit.

I'm not a fan of blanket labeling, but I do see it can be used to somewhat understand people. There's a large variety of beliefs and practices among charismatics from the "hyper-whatever" teachings to submition/covering teachings to more conservative teaching, etc. I don't exactly know what NAR is, but I was baptized in the Holy Spirit nearly 50 years ago and have seen many "fads" come and go. My caution would be to " not throw the baby out with the bathwater". Seek God for yourself, and follow His path for you.

First, it is absurd to say God is restoring apostles and prophets because they have always been operating in the church. Second, only maybe 2% of those who believe in apostles and prophets for today believe in the NAR doctrine as espoused by Peter Wagner. So you are not really hitting the target. Third, the church does need a true apostolic reformation that is Bible based and preaches repentance. Labeling everyone who believes in apostles and prophets as NAR is a demonic slur. So be very careful to be accurate.
The main problem is unrepentant ministers. Praying for you, brother ❤️ 🙏

There is only one foundation Jesus Christ. To be consistent, you also have to stop using titles like pastor, evangelist, and teacher if you do not use the titles of apostle and prophet.Jesus is the only Head of the church.

Hi it’s been a bit but I catch up when I can you are totally in agreement The Lord has protected me from churches that are not God. I am charismatic Christian over 45 years. This second me that people don’t see the truth. I should say seek the truth in the word.

I need prayer. I lost my job. they canceled my job and I am applying for other jobs. I need prayer as I have fallen and broke my tailbone. Then I fell on bricks and bruised my ribs I think I am so blessed by you and what you do for the Lord thank you for opening my eyes so that when I travel, I won’t go with closed eyes. I believe healing is for everyone but those word of faith people turn it into works and it’s really not biblical. It’s a fruit of believing. You can’t force a fruit by repetition and works. I think those WOF healings are mostly fake. But I’ve seen real healing in myself without works, just believe.
Similarly I think prosperity gospel is wrong but there are too many promises of God that he wants us to be blessed and prosper to ignore that. But it doesn’t mean we will all be millionaires

Have you listened to David Wilkerson's The Super Church which is a warning it will seem of God in name only but will be corrupt,then there will be another super church it will become the true underground remnant church this comes about when persecution will become rampant it will be like the China underground church

I agree with so much, what you say! Thank you for this video. Since you want to be cheered on, let me address two weaknesses of your video.

1. You’re making too many general observations and assume that we all know what you are talking about. But you have to give definite examples of fake and crazy behavior and false prophecies, even linking proper sources, if you want to be credible. As it is now, your video is not more than claims and personal opinion, that is not even well established. (The two sources you give - Peter Wagner and Derek Prince are already helpful.)

2. You have to name names. (Even though you name a few.) It is high time be bold to do exactly that! We cannot wait until things are so bad, that people end up before court. This includes the fear of God on our side and well established research. But we cannot settle for less, if we want to see change.

Joshua, we were called spirit filled back in the 1970's. I'm glad you are talking about the NAR. Pointing out the falsity and danger of self-appointed apostles and prophets governing the church by THEIR divine revelation is critical. I don't think any genuine Christian could come up with the doctrines taught by NAR by prayerfully reading and studying the scriptures. It is a set of man made teachings that are false and destructive to the church.

The Gods Generals book is a massive problem....
They are seriously trying to wiggle around everything, repackage, and just keep going.....did you know Wagner agrees that much of the stuff in that revival, was demonic?
The end time issue of the falling away and the delusion directly relate to those who do not love the truth.... these NAR churches do not teach the word. Theres a reason for that.
These restored offices and huge governance is a flat out deception.
Also, I like how you adressed the issue of having critics.

I appreciate this teaching. I never heard of NAR until the DayStar fiasco exploded and I heard you and others talk about it. You explained it more detailed for me. I've been Charismatic for most of my life, and have felt wanting for some time now; so many questions unanswered; always asking forgiveness for my critical spirit. Ya So, some of of the ones you mentioned, you need to be careful of accusing Joshua! i do love the exposure you bring overall, but be more careful who you accuse please :). For one, Heidi Baker, Shes a Missionary doing Amazing sacrifical things, with a level of faith, most of us dont have. i can name others you mentioned i feel have a right heart, and agree some others also, are off. But do alittle more research and Prayer about Heidi, in My mind, shes a Champion, and ministers often in very difficult 3rd world horrible conditions the like Most of us have never done! :) love ya bro!

The NAR is not new. It’s a red haired step child of the discipleship/shepherding movement from 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. I was late comer to the DS movement who never rose in the ranks of the multitiered system , but was familiar with the dynamics. Like DS, the NAR will collapse under the weight of religious hierarchy. We are witnessing the fall before our very eyes. Kind of reminds me of the fall of the twin towers and building 7 on 9/11.

I know a true, bona fide apostle of the Lord. He's been a missionary in Mexico for 60 years, taking only a tiny salary until he went on social security, which was very meager. Yet, God has so blessed his ministry, starting 350 churches, 3 bible scools and all of them are pastored by local pastors trained in their bible schools. He's had so many healings, including 37 blind people healed, many deaf ears opened, cancers healed, and countless barren women who've given birth. He's dedicated those babies to the srrvice of the Lord. He's an apostle if there ever was one.
