If the Jets develop or trade for a C who can play 2nd line they should not only make the playoffs easily, but be a legit contender in the playoffs.
ОтветитьBiggest difference this year on the PP is zone entries. They used to have a hard time getting into the O-zone, relying on the puck carrier to beat one or two players. Now under Davis Payne's system there is a lot more variety in the way they move up ice, and its not always the same four guys carrying the puck: Ehlers, Scheifele, Connor and Morrissey.
ОтветитьGreat analysis but please get a fucking webcam instead of using your shitty laptop. The audio is complete garbage which is a shame because the content is so damn good. Go Jets Go!
ОтветитьContact year Neal Pionk. Reliable like death and taxes.
ОтветитьThis is the best explanation that I've heard of why the Jets PP is so effective this year. it's coming from every direction and it disorients the other teams D most of the time. It looks 100% different than it did last year because there's no jostling into place, they're just pushing to the goal line to bury one behind the goalie of the opposing team. And that, I mainly assign to a new PP coach. Same boys, same team, but it all looks different can be assigned to one thing: a coach who knows how to set up PPs. This team is a pleasure to watch.
ОтветитьGreat analysis guys, liked and subbed.
ОтветитьLast season, the jets finish 1st in the entire league if they had a mediocre PP... so this season, I'm so ecstatic they finally fired there PP coach and got a new one.
Wich can actully use his players properly instead of making the players do what he wants.... so amazing
I'm still worried that eric comrie is the backup. they need a backup with experience
ОтветитьIt seems like everything that was exposed last year as being deficient has been added to their game without giving up the things that made them good. Last year teams like the Preds were able to expose the rigidity in their structure, by lobbing pucks and catching them flat footed. Colorado would also do something similar by shooting pucks wide of the net, then retrieve them and again catch them flat footed. We haven't really seen what happens when this tactic of getting pucks behind them is employed, because last year they had no answer. But seeing as they've made clear efforts to address their other deficiencies, I am quite curious how or if they've addressed that one, because if they have, look out.
ОтветитьGood job!
ОтветитьKey point that is missing: Davis Payne was hired in JUNE 2024 as the Jets' power play coach. Big difference between structure and movement from last season.
ОтветитьExcellent analysis.
