I didn't get to play the third act with my twin brother, (i mean i did but not the way i wanted to.) My first girlfriend liked to play "tests" on me so I finally did a test on her to see how she liked it. I played a dom's life video for her, and her response was "who cares? Hes a bunch of pixels." Safe to say we broke up the following day.

I was explaining to my wife who knows nothing about this lore, game, story, etc. and I was getting actually emotional over it.

Gears and The Last of Us are 2 of the only games that made me cry.

Not lost on me is the fact that Anya told Marcus the same thing when Dom died that Marcus told Dom when he found Maria.

Also just the fact that Dom and Marcus are so close that Marcus has to be restrained from jumping into a literal inferno to save his boy
