with the high angle he really hit the 🗿
ОтветитьI do that all the time as well as a trumpet
Ответить"Where do you put your mouthpiece" on your mouth probably
ОтветитьThe bucees t-shirt
ОтветитьVery true point 🎺
ОтветитьThat’s how I felt too, some days I would be getting ready in band class and I would be overthinking where I would want my mouthpiece to sit, then I reminded myself that I just needed to shut my brain off and do what felt natural, that’s how I felt I could play more naturally and not forced lol
ОтветитьI went to a jazz summer camp and got to take sectionals with a jazz trumpet professor from the University of Louisiana and he talked about this kind of thing a lot. Not overthinking and just kind of playing, letting your air and body naturally adjust as you sing through the horn, it was really good stuff.
ОтветитьJust don't play in the red that'll injure you
ОтветитьI was just wondering how long have you been playing for. I have played for 4 years but still can't hit high notes. You sound really good btw.
Ответитьone octave down Hummel is fire 🔥🔥
ОтветитьWhere it is comfortable for me isn't 90 degrees though which is kind of important for marching
ОтветитьThank you for this tip about not overthinking. BTW, your tip about keeping an O shape while ascending in the register has been very helpful. Thank you very much.
Ответитьluv ur vids
ОтветитьI play a little to my right for some reason. Always have. I have trouble playing with the mouthpiece dead center.
ОтветитьIm a flute player but this is so applicable to flute specially since we don't have a mouth piece great content keep it up
ОтветитьTrue
ОтветитьBang bahasa Indonesia aja 🤣
ОтветитьAs a tubist, I dont really have this problem. I do find it easier to play higher if I really push my lips into the mouthpiece and then move away a little to play low. Normally works for me
ОтветитьHe had us in the first half- 💀💀💀
ОтветитьI attempted to play trombone once(it didn't go well...). I am a woodwind player(clarinet and tenor sax), so brass is like a whole different multiverse for me
ОтветитьThe only time I actually forced myself to do an embouchure change was when the mouthpiece was so low on my lips that my top lip would slide out of the cup. Now it is pretty much centered and my consistency, tone, and endurance quickly became much better
ОтветитьNot the Vsauce music 💀
ОтветитьHe's such a band kid 🙄🙄
(me too gang)
This is what im saying. People tell me that i tilt my head and im not learning the professional way, but its because i have a stronger embrasure the way i turn my head, and i can TELL when im able to hit certain notes, and i tend to have way less moisture on my lips, because i cant play with moist lips. I have to wipe my lips off and leave them kind of moist, to finally get the sound i want.
Ответитьhe looks like scout from tf2
ОтветитьThis is crazy since I make the same sound you make when angling the horn down, I can only play with the horn tilted up
ОтветитьQuestion for all you brass players. I talked to a guy year's ago at a Drum Corp show. He said he never marched because that style playing will ruin your playing. Is that true?
ОтветитьMe in drumline: 😐
Ответитьthat’s vsauce’ background music
ОтветитьTHE MIDDLE REFERENCE!!! YES!!!
Ответитьgenuinely thought you were scout from tf2 for a second
ОтветитьBuc-cees
ОтветитьWith tuba you just put your whole ass mouth in it
ОтветитьMy lessons teacher brought up an interesting angle to this
We are in the modern age, these instruments have decades to centuries of innovation behind them, and even the young instruments had the huge headstart of technology to help improve them faster
Because of this, the biggest key is comfort, if you are feeling awkward/uncomfortable while playing, 90% you're doing something wrong
Your mouthpiece placement is good
Or is it... 🤔
THE BELL IS A DRAGON-
ОтветитьHey uhh how can you help with a tuba mouth peice
ОтветитьHey are you from Texas ??lol
ОтветитьFor real ! That's how it works for me !
ОтветитьThank you so much bro 🙏🎺
Ответитьthanks i needed help
ОтветитьI did offset like he did on my trombone and it sounded like a french horn somehow
ОтветитьAs a tuba player it didn’t really matter the mouthpiece pretty much covers your mouth
ОтветитьGood advice. Subbed.
Ответитьi love when trombones stop playing and they look like they did the kylie jenner lip challenge
ОтветитьThe vsauce theme 💀
ОтветитьAs a tuba player, the mouth piece is so big that it swallows your lips. Most of us play right in the center because it’s uncomfortable otherwise.
ОтветитьAs a bass trombone, I always have it centered horizontally. Vertical alignment is near the center in a comfortable spot for tone quality, but can be lowered to extend range in both directions
ОтветитьWhen I first began trumpet, I had a terrible habit of keeping the bell facing straight, however when I eventually got braces I found that knowing how to play like that help immensely, I did look quite silly tho
