I was in a similar situation, started going to the gym for a girl, and when I finally made progress she had changed schools. I still kept going though because I realized that I wasn't going just for her I genuinely liked lifting and seeing the progress I was making. 2 years later I had shot her message and guess what, I was left on seen. Funny thing was I didn't care because i finally had the confidence to say something to her.
