I was just visiting my parents in the Shenandoah Valley of VA a couple of weeks ago. My dad has a G3C that he keeps next to his lounge chair in the living room, where he also sleeps due to a bad back. He took me out to shoot it; and I loved it!! So, I ordered one!!

I love the price of these 2 models!! They are affordable to have a couple of extras placed in various places around the house or cars. I think I will go ahead and get a SCCY and try it out. I saw in our local Sportsman's Warehouse they are like $180! If I don't like it, I will expand my stock with a few more G3Cs!

Got them both.. and an fmk 9mm.

I got the cpx2 and heat molded a glock 19 iwb holster to it, changed the slide spring to a heavier one and polished the feed ramp. They sell metal triggers now too. But the thing rips, its for getting your freak on up close

SCCY 10 lb. pull, Taurus (safety)4 lb. pull, you choose!!! He shoots SCCY slowly, Taurus much faster.

I appreciate the reviews of different aspects of the performance and manufactering.

Have a SCCY .9mm and the trigger is pure crap ! Have also a G3C and the dead space between the trigger engaging is annoying! But between the two of them I would take the Taurus anytime!

Triggers are rubbish on both but I can personally attest that sccy has wonderful customer support….if money is a issue buy a stoeger str-9 or the sub compact version the str-9c they have extremely nice triggers for a polymer gun stoeger had a 50$ rebate going on when I got my str-9 the total came to 182$ after tax wish I’s bought 10 of the dang things

My wife and I own both these guns they seem to shoot pretty well

At seven yds. the sccy group is abysmal. amd the Taurus has adjustable sights i can bullseye at 20 yds and hit 12 " plates at 100 yds with my Taurus. try that with that sccy

I have a flawless G2c never a misfire at 4000+ rounds, and my friends have more than that through theirs. You can also replace the sights on the G2c, also buy most upgraded parts including a stainless barrel. and Trigger, this makes a Huge difference.

I trust my G2c with my life. Started guns experience with the sccy, traded it in for a S+W, and bought my G2c. G2c was the best buy

I live in florida, and wouldn't buy another sccy. also have a Glock, but i carry my G2c more than any other weapon.

Oil your G2c's frame outside, or any of your Taurus handguns, as they will last twice as long, or longer. You would think this is bad, but after 4000 rounds, mine looks brand new, you would never know how many rounds it has shot.

Sccy is made in the USA. I’ll support that all day long over something made in Brazil

You don’t mention reliability with defensive hollow point loads. Might be worth a follow up using the new Sccy striker fired model.

I own a G2C and love it. I have also owned a Sccy CPX1. Hated it. Heavy trigger pull and heavy recoil. It was actually hurting my wrist, shooting it. I have 6 ,9mm and shoot them all the time with no hand issues. My G2C is one of my favorite EDC. Pluse the S&W MP shield.

I’m getting the SCCY because it’s smaller for concealed carry, but that’s just me.

For a new gun owner like me the SCCY is good because it’s reliable, concealable, and price right. Dad paid $100 for his back in the 80’s.

You get something that is cheaper than glock but more reliable than jaminez or hi point.

After tax and Rebate, I only spent $218. Anyone watching this video at the moment, That deal is still good through Christmas Eve at Academy sports. Just saying LOL.

You must've gotten a heavy triggered G2C because the 5 other people I know who have this gun not including myself, measure a consistent 4.25-4.50 lb trigger pull. I actually think the GX4 felt like it had a much heavier pull when I shot it.

The feed ramp polishing on the SCCY barrel is just terrible.

The sights are adjustable so why not get them on target instead of continuing to shoot high with the SCCY and shooting left with the Taurus ??

The SCCY CPX-2 strongly resembles my Kel Tec P-11. It appears to have a similar trigger pull as well. My P-11 is not my favorite EDC firearm but it is a good back-up gun I carried when I worked armed security.

SCCY CPX-2 is trash compared to the Taurus G2C. The G-series pistols are way better.

if you pick up a SCCY get a gen3 not a gen2. theyre cheap as dirt (got mine for 150) but the company is slowly improving the design. Get a MCARBO trigger spring kit, and it will treat you well for what it is.

The SCCY has one big advantage as a carry gun, that heavy long trigger. While it’s a curse in other well known ways that long heavy trigger makes it as hard as it can reasonably get to AD the thing . I find it the same as a SA revolver . It’s not gonna go off by accident if reasonably handled.
What it does greatly benefit from though is a Galloway or McCarbo trigger and spring set.👍🏻. I put one on mine and it pretty much cured MOST of the long reset and very heavy trigger. The adjustable set screw allows you to balance both to a decent extent. Just don’t expect it to become a target pistol. Mine shoots about the same as my Ruger LCP which is a good balance of safety and functionality. With any sort of practice you can easily overcome the reset issue that some have.

G2c. I own both and while the sccy is a good gun, i only own 1. I own 3 g2cs.

I had to give up on my SCCY CPX because of the heavy trigger pull and a crooked trigger finger. The G2C took it's place until I got a SCCY DVG1. Love that gun better trigger than the Taurus and I shoot much better with it.
I do really like the restrike capability with the Taurus, makes dry fire practice a lot easier,

I wonder how the SCCY DVG-1 (striker fired) would compare.
