ОтветитьConsidering how the other level 3 population buildings work (sawmill and windmill), the forge is still kind of strange since it's now kind of equivalent to the windmill (fields are 2 pop, level and pop per field is 1). The real value in forges for me always felt like the population boost so tribes with lots of metal had lots of giants per city. The new update means the possible population value from a forge is halved, which is a pretty big deal once star income stops being a limiting factor to army size. But at least this makes forges more useful to markets

ОтветитьFor the people panicking because of stuff they dont agree with, they always change a lot between the start of playtesting and when they actually implement those changes. You can expect them to finetune a lot before the update.
ОтветитьI dont like idea of giving more stars to weaker tribes, just make them more unique, give yadak 2 stars roads for example

ОтветитьI definitely feel like both the Forge buffs didn't need to happen. Either make it a building that's tricky to place but gives you double market levels if you can pull it off, or make it easier to place on difficult terrain and have it affect markets normally. Both is kind of excessive

ОтветитьAs a Cymanti main, 1st, forgive me. Second, the changes mostly look good, I sadly think a fungi nerf was just necessary at this point. Fungi did what other structures did without the extra steps, so gameplay was always kind of basic. Though, with the doomux, this is my only problem: The damage. I know it was stupidly high, but being able to kill a knight with 15 health on their city with a boosted doomux was always an incredible feeling. While this is fun to do, the main reason lowering it is bad in my opinion is implicit threat. The idea that a cymanti could in one turn bring 2 doomuxes and take over multiple cities in a turn if not protected properly really added to the game plan. Though, hopefully with everything else, this ends up not mattering, especially the new slowing (Also do you think a lvl 0 fungi will dissapear if stepped on or just stay lvl 0). Also the new water units were needed, Cymanti were absolute trash at traversing water.
