Before I came to Christ I worried constantly about everything and especially any disasters that might come along but the first disaster He was around for He told me how to prepare and it didn't effect us at all. It hit the whole nation, but just like the Bible said it didn't come near us. I was amazed. Recently He told us to prepare again and we did and again bad things happened around us but we kept afloat. Basically He told us different strategies to overcome the current economy. We just spent our sons birthday in Atlanta. If not for God we would've went hungry but with Him not only are we not hungry we spent a lot of money on a birthday. Our son said he'd remember this birthday forever. It was incredible.

I was drawn to that book six months ago and it’s brought me great peace as I practised detachment. In a way it’s given me another super power of not caring about toxic people that I seem to be magnet. I love the stoic wisdom

The stoics had a marvellous and useful philosophy for us INFJ’s but the Taoist philosophy is the one that perhaps allowed me to ascend like the great Peng to achieve a peaceful existence.

In the Zhuangzi, The Peng is a giant bird that transforms from a massive fish called Kun. The Peng is described as soaring high above the clouds, far beyond what ordinary birds could imagine. Meanwhile, other creatures, such as the quail and the dove, make remarks about the Peng, expressing disbelief or skepticism about its ability to fly so high and far. The quail and dove are limited by their own narrow experiences and perspectives, so they cannot comprehend the vastness of the Peng’s journey.

The point Zhuangzi makes is about the different capacities and perspectives of beings. He illustrates how limited viewpoints can constrain one’s understanding of freedom. The Peng represents an enlightened being capable of transcending ordinary limitations, whereas the quail and dove are bound by their smaller perspectives.

Ultimately, “Free and Easy Wandering” is about breaking free from limitations, gaining a broader perspective, and embracing a more spontaneous way of being in harmony with the Tao. The contrast between the Peng and the smaller birds symbolizes the different ways people perceive and live their lives—some soar freely while others remain earthbound due to their narrow views. We were born to soar Jay! Of course, you intuited this already! ☯️

Thank you for your content Jay. You are wonderful my friend. Thank you. 😊

I’m a Christian, and my power is in my prayers to God. He is the lover of my life, and He’s always available. I have a son who is narcissistic. He’s fun to be with, but pretty shallow. I have a daughter, but she has health issues, so she’s never available except in an emergency. I have learned to not depend on people, but take them for what they are. I’m always looking for their gifts and talents, and try to encourage them. It is so true about people not caring to succeed in life. They simply plod along, and hope things will improve for them. That kind of thinking is so strange to me. I’m constantly trying new things. It can even be scary for me sometimes, because I have a fear of failure. Anyway, I would just like to say that the information above was very helpful. Thank you so much.

I mean: we INFJs have common personality traits and rituals/routines ... but do we prefer same style of daily use items too?

I try not to judge people, even the really bad people like psychopaths, who have, through no fault of their own, had hellishly traumatic childhoods and been born with a gene that means they lack any kind of conscience. It's a quite literal lethal combination. They are on a different frequency to the rest of the human race. To them acts of cruelty are normal. They occupy their own little moral universe. Any one of us could be born without the conscience gene. I think many psychiatrists are INFJs, they don't judge the broken people they deal with routinely. A psychiatrist would never scream "You're evil!!" At the patient laying on their couch. This would stop them from learning how to best to treat the psychopathy, and then these untreated people would be sent back into the world to cause more suffering.

I usually find it pretty difficult to find INFJ videos I can actually agree with, or even respect. But I really like the subjects you brought up.
Except for INFJ Morality. There's a lot of factors they tend to either ignore or instinctively forget depending on their emotional state. But you seem to have addressed some of the common issues as well.

I'd like to share some of the graphs I've been working on with you, if it's alright with you. I'd like to get your honest thoughts and opinions. I want to make sure everything is as useful and accurate as possible before officially releasing them.

This is all very intellectual. Stoicism comes from a time when they weren’t aware of emotional repression and trauma. For me, no amount of changing my thoughts or believing one idea or another has ever helped me move towards health.

The only thing that has ever truly worked for me is to feel the rage, fear, shame and grief that is buried deep in my stomach and chest. Each layer I feel through moves me towards becoming more fully myself.

As an infj and follower of stoicism it is still basically a form of coping. To just accept whatever happens as factual is also a form of delusion; insanity.

You're wrong about the media. Yes, they want to get you riled up, but they don't want you to form an opinion. They want to inject their chosen opinion into you. Your emotion is now attached to that opinion and it won't let it go. This is Brainwashing 101.

INFJs have a massive advantage over everyone else in that we like being alone.
We need a lot of alone time so we can be free from the narrow limited feeling & thinking of others. To escape that tedium.
Its rare being bored in an INFJs own head & heart.

I used to believe and follow this. Until such a time in my life for over a decade going through a divorce with a narcisstic abusive ex-husband was able to charm our small community into bearing false witness in court. How will stoicism help then when the court has power over you when you did nothing wrong, they fine you, put it down that your criminal, take your kids away from you, etc. Yes, and extreme case, and I guess the only other solution was to not fight for my son and instead abandoned him to his abusive father - which is what everyone told me to do. Instead, I did what I knew to be right as a mother. But being someone who is considered "weird," living a righteous life (which no one believes is possible, so they think I'm hiding something they can't find), and all the stuff being an INFJ invokes in others - what then? Have no kids? Walk away from everything when the water gets too hot? Tell me - I really want to know that even if we accept we can't control the choices of others, they can still do a lot of damage to your life. What philosophy prevents that?

And when we have a malignant narcissist just like that on a broader scale with someone like Trump, and we know the fate of the world and everyone in it if he is elected, how does stoicism serve us then? We have history to prove what happens.

But this philosophy works very well on a typical, mundane day-to-day life. It has even served me well in the military and crisis situations.

It does not, however, help when dealing with a charismatic, narcissitic maniac with money and influence, and a whole bunch of people under his thrall.

Because I know that I'm not the only INFJ tormented by this. Any solutions to that? Or just believe in a fatalistic perception that we can do nothing about it?
